Große Unterschiede mag es zwischen obigen Englisch-Vokabeln nicht geben, aber mich interessiert doch der kleine aber feine Unterschied zwischen den drei Wörtern.

Hallo zusammen, ich lerne Englisch in der 7. Klasse. Ich muss für eine Klassenarbeit das Passiv können. Ich weiß, wie es gebildet wird, aber wir müssen unterscheiden können welche Zeitform wir nutzen müssen. Und ich brauche Hilfe. Ich weiß nicht wann ich has been und were und so weiter einsetzen muss...wir haben bisher alle Zeitformen bis zum past perfect gelernt, vielleicht hilft das. Schon mal Danke für die Antworten!

Ich habe da mal eine Frage:

Ich schreibe am Donnerstag in Englisch eine Klausur und habe das Thema if clauses. Ich habe auch Übungsblätter bekommen, komme auch überall klar nur hierbei nicht. Ich verstehe wie man die drei Typen bildet und wann man welchen verwendet. Damit ihr wisst, was ich weis;

If clauses Typ I:

- Verwendung: um über eine mögliche Handlung in der Zukunft zu sprechen, die von einer Bedingung abhängt, die in der Gegenwart erfüllt ist.

- Bildung: if + Präsens, Futur I

- Beispiel: If it rains tomorrow, I will stay at home.

If clauses Typ II:

- Verwendung: um über eine unrealistische oder unwahrscheinliche Handlung in der Gegenwart oder Zukunft zu sprechen.

- Bildung: if + Präteritum, Konditional II

- Beispiel: If I had a million dollars, I would buy a house.

If clauses Typ III:

- Verwendung: um über eine Handlung in der Vergangenheit zu sprechen, die nicht stattgefunden hat, aber hätte stattfinden können, wenn eine Bedingung erfüllt worden wäre.

- Bildung: if + Plusquamperfekt, Konditional II (Perfekt)

- Beispiel: If I had studied harder, I would have passed the exam.

Bei der einen Aufgabe komme ich aber nicht weiter. Ich muss nähmlich selber entscheiden, was ich einsetzte. Was ich jetzt nicht verstehe: Kann man nicht überall alles einsetzten? Ich meine, ich weiß in der Aufgabe nich, ob es sich um die Zukunft, Gegenwart, oder Vergangenheit handelt. Leider habe ich keine Lösungen dazu. Aber weiß vielleicht jemand woran ich das erkennen kann. Oder kann ich normalerweise wirklich überall jeden Typ einsetzen?

A recent school shooting in Los Angeles has brought the issue of school safety in the bad light. So, people became aware of these happening. On 30th April 2023, two 17-year-old students have armed their high school with two guns which left 11 people dead and 5 injured. This incident has left people worried about the safety of students and staff at schools.

Gun violence, especially in schools, is still a national crisis in the United States and migrants are still allowed to carry a gun because of the “national firearms agreement”. Due to the licenses of weapons, such acts are occurring more and more frequently. In order to protect students and school staff, most schools have security guards. There are also usually controls at the entrances. As a way to prevent non-schoolers from entering the school, they have their own school cards, which clearly show the identifies of the students. In addition, the police have increased their presence at schools.

Students, who have witnessed such incident, are usually traumatised and can hardly cope without psychological help. Many students and parents report terrible feelings and perceptions. “I was so scared when I heard gunshots. I ran and hid under a desk until the police came. Now I’m afraid to come back to school,” says a victim who survived this cruelty. Parents were calling desperately for their children, they even got more scared when they didn’t respond. These are just a few. As a result, the police has to deal with such incidents more and more often. “It is nothing scary anymore, we are already used to it”, claims a policeman. “We are already best prepared for such acts”, adds another officer. They have certain educations and trainings for these hardships.

Due to the school shooting on April 30th, this issue is more present than ever. Many students and parents are extremely frightened that they can also be victims. This clearly shows that much more could be done preventively.

Wenn man den umformt in die indirekte rede, wie wäre er dann? Also mit diesen verb patterns:

Ich stehe kurz vor einem Job, in dem ich auch bisschen Englisch sprechen muss. Ich kenne die Grundlagen, aber ich möchte die richtige Kommunikation lernen und verstehen. Mir fällt das aussprechen der englischen Wörtern schwer.

Gibt es dafür spezielle Techniken, um die Sprache zu lernen?

Hey, wir haben heute im Englischunterricht mit dem Sitznachbar ein Vorstellungsgespräch auf Englisch vorbereitet und mussten das auch der Klasse vorstellen. Als wir dann bei der Frage :"What are your salary expectations?" (Was sind Ihre Gehaltsvorstellungen?) waren und ich geantwortet habe: "Between 1200 and 1500 pounds", hat unsere Englischlehrerin gesagt dass das viel zu wenig Geld ist. Aber das stimmt doch eigentlich nicht. Was würdet ihr sagen?

Also ich schreibe bald meine englisch Klausur über Outline,Mediation & Analyse von stylistischen Mitteln. Die Frage klingt vielleicht ein bisschen dumm, aber ich bin nicht der beste in englisch und wir sollen in jeden der drei Texte 3 Gerundiums, participle, conditional & relative Sätze verwenden. Im groben und ganzen weiß ich auch was das ist. Jedoch bin ich grad am verzweifeln wie ich z.b ein Gerundium einbauen sollen wenn ich schreibe: “The author mention: …. is liking…. Für mich klingt das einfach nicht richtig. Hat wer ein paar Tipps/Beispiele etc.

convenience. However, it's important to remember the environmental impact of

driving a car is not only harmful to the environment but also to our physical

health due to the negative effects of inhaling car exhaust.

Considering

the fact that there are alternatives, such as cycling, public

transportation, or walking, it simply doesn't make sense to rely on cars as our

primary means of transportation. On the one hand all of these alternatives are

better for the environment. On the other hand, there are much more positive

aspects about them. When you use public transport, you can talk to other

people. When cycling, you can see much more of the surroundings. Personally, I

find walking to be the most relaxing and enjoyable way to travel.

Ich studiere einen Life Science Studiengang. Wir werden in 2 Semestern Vorlesungen auf Englisch haben. Es handelt sich hierbei um Vorlesungen im Bezug auf Laborarbeit und Biochemie.

Außerdem ist es gerade im wissenschaftlichen Bereich wichtig ein gutes Englisch zu haben (was ich meiner Einschätzung nach auch habe). Allerdings geht dieser Wortschatz den man hierfür benötigt weit über das hinaus was man in der Schule lernt. Daher wollte ich fragen, ob jemand vielleicht eine App kennt mit der man so einen spezifischen Wortschatz erlernen kann oder ob ihr eine andere Lernstrategie habt.

Meine alternative Idee wäre Dokus und Youtube Videos über entsprechende Themen zu schauen aber ich persönlich würde Vokabeltraining bevorzugen.

in englisch müssen wir immer texte auswendig lernen und die bilder dazu beschreiben. bei den ersten 2 texten hab ich eigentlich kein problem, aber bei den letzten 3 texten hab ich irgendwie keine ahnung was ich sagen soll.

bei text 3 fällt mir nur ein dass ich irgendwas mit wind turbine sagen und grass sagen kann, beim 4 irgendwas mit cottage in the countryside und mountains und beim 5 a scot wearing a kilt an playing a bagpipe. das ist aber irgendwie zu wenig. was soll ich noch dazu sagen?

beim 1 würde ich sagen:

in the first picture you can see edinburgh at night. in the middle is a street with cars. on the right is a railing, and at the top is a castle. there are many buildings with windows.

beim 2:

in the second picture you can see a statue of robert the bruce. its kinda blueish. hes ridinga horse. in the backround you can see the blue sky.

Es geht hierbei spezifisch um die Analyse einer Rede.

Haben zurzeit im Englischunterricht die Grammatik mit defining und non-defining relative clauses, worin der Unterschied liegt, wo man Kommas setzen muss und sowas. Ich habe die Grammatik prinzipiell verstanden, verstehe aber nicht wie man bei einem Satz zuordnen kann, ob er ein defining oder non-defining relative clause ist. Weiß jemand das? Oder macht man das nach Gefühl?

Wie sollte ich mich am besten für eine englisch Präsentation vorbereiten? Soll ich erst auf deutsch und dann ins Englische übersetzen oder direkt Informationen auf englisch suchen? Was ist besser damit ich die Präsentation leichter im Kopf habe und später dann frei reden kann und mir alles merken kann?

It would be an improvement of medical research through the use of new technologies. I think that the new technology would be better for the world because it takes away a lot of work and it simplifies a lot of things.

Wie kann man die Prüfer noch begrüßen?

Es handelt sich um zwei Prüfer, der Hauptprüfer ist männlich und es gibt noch eine Lehrerin, die Notizen macht.

Das ergibt eigentlich keinen Sinn, denn die Wortbedeutungen sind gleich, ähnelt einem Hendiadyoin. Kann man das irgendwie anders auflösen? Und mich würde noch interessieren, ob from the get go häufig verwendet wird, mir ist es noch nie aktiv aufgefallen.

Lend verwendet man einem anderen etwas ausleiht, das er dann nach einiger Zeit wieder zurückgeben wird.

Wenn das so stimmt, dann hab ich folgende Frage:

Macht dann der Satz mit beiden Wörtern Sinn?

Ich finde es falsch, da hätte ich entweder:

Can you lend me your bike?
oder

Cann I borrow your bike please?

Was ist denn richtig an dem Satz: Can you borrow me… please?

ich bin 9.Klasse Realschule und habe am Freitag eine Englisch Präsentation über New York. Ich hab den Text auch schon fertig, allerdings bin ich wirklich sehr sehr schlecht in englisch. Ich kann’s einfach nicht. Ich habe vorallem Angst davor,wen mir der Lehrer und die Schüler fragen stellen,weil ich kann die nicht beantworten. Ich werde nichtmal verstehen, was mich gefragt wird,weil ich’s nicht versteh und ich kann auch nicht auf englisch dann antworten. Deshalb hab ich große Angst vor der Präsentation.

Finally! We've made it to the adorable city London. Well, it's not really as adorable as I thought but I always have to high expectations. We are staying in a little hotel near the Big Ben. And theres my first point:

Big Ben is just gorgeos, I knew the tower is 96 meters high but I didn't know 96 meters are that high. My mum forced us to go to the science museum but the boredom killed me. I mean if you are a culture vulture maybe its cool but in my opinion it's as gripping as a bold tyre. An attraction which made my eyes really shine was Madame Tussouds. It felt like I am next to my idols but they are only waxfigures.

Tomorrow we are going to enjoy a London breakfast which includes duck and waffle, I would kill for these meals.

I will tell you the rest of our trip when we are back home again.

Should teenagers be exposed to pets at their age?

Having a pet at a early age helps teenagers learn about responsibility and taking care of others. At the same time, it can help them learn to take care of themselves. Some teenagers though, should never have pets of their own if they can’t control themselves and have difficulty with empathy. Therefore: Should teenagers be exposed to pets at their age?

Teenagers mature at different rates. Some can handle the responsibility of caring for a pet already and others not. That’s why the age is for the parent to decide. If teenagers are animal-friendly, then cats make excellent pets. They can be playful and entertaining, especially if people adopt a kitten. They are also relatively easy to take care for: good quality food, clean water, a clean litter box, toys and interaction with their owners for affection.

As mentioned, owning a pet helps in the development of a teenager for example learning to take responsibility for another life and experience what it means if someone depends on them. A pet also helps teenagers learning to give attention even if they are not in the mood for it.

Despite of that, how can teenagers even cover the costs of keeping a pet? Well, pets are expensive but if teenagers have a pet, they can buy cheap food or cheap toys, if they want to cover their costs. Teenagers can also spend their pocket money more for their pet or can earn some money in holidays.

To conclude, I would say teenagers should keep a pet, if they are ready to take care of it. If they care for their pet, they return the love. A pet doesn't question what kind of job the kid’s parents have or how much money they make, etc. They would love their owners if they show affection to it.
