Hallo ich schreibe am Donnerstag eine Englisch Klausur und habe deshalb diese short story über das Bild oben geschrieben zur Übung. Hätte jemand Lust sie durchzulesen und mir zu sagen was ich besser machen könnte? I knew it was a dumb idea to play spin the bottle with them, but how could i know i would end up alone in the forest. In tears, i walked through the shadowy forest. I could`nt get the voices of my schoolmates out of my head. The forest was such noiceless that all i could hear was the laugh of my schoolmates in my head. „Oh poor baby, you wanted to kiss him,am i right?“ the voice in my head said. „Shut up!“ I screamed and run disoriented through the liveless forest. „I regretted going to this halloween party. I got such an ugly little red hood costum and my hair is such a mess, meanwhile every other girl at the party looked perfect. Why am i so dumb that i thought he would even notice me.“ i yelled at myself. I was`nt paying attention were i was going and all of sudden i fell over a rock and rolled down a hill. My head started hurting and my knee started bleeding. I was sitting shocked on the bottom of the hill and feeling dizzy. I couldnt hold it any longer, i started to cry and yelled things at myself with a trembling voice:

„I didnt expected to get lost alone in a forest after i run away from the party just because gustav had to kiss a girl while playing spin the bottle. Now im sitting in the middle of nowhere and got injured. Nobody is going to search for me. Im so pathetic.“

After a while i heard somebody calling my name: „Jade! Jade! Where are you?.“ I answered: „Here!“ The person was coming closer and even in the dark forest i could see it was gustav. He run towards to me and hugged me closely. While he was huggin me he said with a trembling voice: „I was searching you for hours. I saw you were running in the forest alone and i was worried about you.“ My heart started beating very fast. I asked him: „Why didnt you stay there with all the other girls?“

He answered in an angry voice: „Did you thought i would stay there because of them? They are talking badly about me behind my back. I wanted to go there because my friend said you would be there.“ He leaned over me and kissed me. „I know i should have asked you this before, but do you want to go on a date with me?“ he said. I was too stunned to speak. With wide open eyes i stuttered: „Y-yes“ As i wanted to stand up, he noticed my bleeding knee and said: „You are injured very bad! Why have`nt you told me? We need to stop the bleeding immidiatly! Lean on my shoulder we should walk back.“ After we reached the house gustav shouted: „Jade is bleeding badly we need help!“ gustav laid me on the sofa and all of sudden i fell asleep.

wir werden ein Englischarbeit nächste Woche schreiben über “analyzing the language of poem”. Wir müssen keinen Text/Analyse schreiben, sindern bekommen eine Tabelle mit verschiedenen stylistic devices und diese müssen wir dann bestimmen und Funktion + Wirkung nennen.
Wenn ich jetzt in der Arbeit so einen Satz kriegen würde:

She broke my heart.
würde dann reichen wenn ich Folgendes aufschreiben würde.

• Metaphor
• It means that the girl left the person and made this person sad.
• This metaphor creates vivid picture in the reader’s mind and makes the reader feel also sad.

The ending of Belinda’s story

Two days later James phoned Belinda.

“Hello?” Belinda said.

Meine Lehrerin hat das "has closed" mit einem "closed/was closed" durchgestrichen. Aber meiner Meinung nach, könnte ich ja auch auf die jetzigen Auswirkungen hinweisen, da die Schüler eben zu dem Zeitpunkt keinen Zugang zu Bücher hatten. Also warum wäre dann "has closed" falsch, vielleicht wäre es unüblich im Sprachgebrauch, aber doch nicht falsch?

Ich meine, natürlich heißt es "he was to".

Aber in meinem Englischbuch in den vokabeln steht "he were to...". D. h. "Er sollte..."

Warum steht das were? Es heißt doch "He WAS"? Hat das were eine andere Bedeutung oder was?

Warum macht man beim 1.Satz ein ? und beim 2. Satz nicht? Oder gehört beim 2. Satz auch ein ? ans Satzende?

Also mit the. Weil es geht ja um diese eine Nacht, über die wir reden.

Ich glaube das ist falsch, weil der Satzteil ein „independend clause“ ist. Aber ChatGPT meinte, es sei richtig.

Oder kann ich es einfach mit however, although oder even though machen?

Gemäß Pons heißt from the get go „von Anfang an“ (ugs.) und start over „von Neuem anfangen“.
Folglich: Von Neuem von Anfang an anfangen

Das ergibt eigentlich keinen Sinn, denn die Wortbedeutungen sind gleich, ähnelt einem Hendiadyoin. Kann man das irgendwie anders auflösen? Und mich würde noch interessieren, ob from the get go häufig verwendet wird, mir ist es noch nie aktiv aufgefallen.

Warum ist es im ersten Satz richtig looking zu sagen ( mit - ing) , im 2. Satz jedoch wird das ing an meet drangehängt und nicht an Look .

Ich gebe zwei Grundschülerinnen Onlineunterricht in Englisch.

Bisher läuft es gut, aber ich suche aufgrund ihres jungen Alters mehr Ideen für Lernspiele/Vokabelspiele, die ich mit ihnen per Video machen kann. Nichts mit Tippen, da sie erst 8 Jahre alt sind und sehr langsam tippen (sie müssen fast jeden Buchstaben kurz suchen).

Eher etwas Mündliches. Bisher habe ich z.B. Finger hochgehalten und sie mussten so schnell wie möglich die Anzahl rufen. Genauso mit Farben und Gegenständen, die ich hochhielt. Ich habe auch Gegenstände hochgehalten und gefragt: „Is this a...“ und die Kinder mussten dann bestätigen oder verneinen.

Habt ihr weitere Ideen oder vielleicht auch Links? Habe natürlich selbst schon recherchiert und ein paar Dinge gefunden (Maldiktat, what‘s missing, ich packe meinen Koffer,...), aber vielleicht kennt hier jemand noch ein paar Spiele, auf die ich nicht gestoßen bin.

Memory geht z.B. nicht, da wir uns eben nur über Video sehen.
