Hi, ich schreibe morgen Englisch Schulaufgabe und wir müssen eine Mediation schreiben. Es gibt so eine Art Flyer bzw. Zeitungsartikel über das Thema in deutsch und wir müssen einem englischem Freund Fragen dazu auf Englisch beantworten. Hat irgendjemand Tipps für mich? Ist "overcome" oder ist "overwhelm" ein Synonym dazu oder nicht?

in the following text I speak about the topic the role of sports among young people. The text based on the cartoon from pinterest. The role of sports in children‘s life has changed.

The cartoon shows two parts divided into the years 1998 and 2018. In the forderground of the part of 1998 can you see a mother, who stops a boy. Next to the boy is a ball. The mother pulls hin in the house against he will. The part two of year 2018 shows the mother with the boy too. But the mother pulls the boy out of the house against he will. The Boy is holding a game console in his hands. In both parts acts the mother vigorously to get him in and out of the house. Furthermore can you see in both parts, that the boy does not seem pleased to have to finish his activity.

I think the cartoonist is intended to show, that the young generation spend variously sporty activities in the past and today. In year 1988 the boy wants to spend his free time outside playing ball games. The boy in year 2018 wants to play games inside on his game console.

I agree with the cartoonist, because playing online games are very popular at present and are the new trend under young people. A lot of teenager spend a lot of time inside and playing game console. But this have for the young generation negative consequenses. I think playing online games are very bad for the Health of young generation. Because of, the people get not enough movement and this can lead for example to overwight. On the top the youngs start to meet gaming friends instead of their real friends. Through this the youngs lost the realitiy. An another big consequense is that the childrens could become a addict. So, the young generation get not even physical but also a mental health problem.

In summary I can say that the kind of doing sport are different in the past and now. Today, the role of sport for childrens focused in playing online games.

Wisst ihr wie eine outline aufgebaut ist weil ich sehe einmal eine outline mit introduction und main part und einmal im internet sehe ich eine outline mit so einer groben Gliederung.Und manche sagen im internet es kommt nur ein schluss dazu.Jetzt schreibe ich morgen die klausur und bin verwirrt.Die themen sind Outline , Cartoon , und Comment.

Habe in einem Buch gelesen, dass es anstelle von ,,but“ also in dem Fall ,,doch“ benutzt wurde.

Ich schreibe am Dienstag die Probe ZAP und habe ein Problem.. Und zwar hat mein Lehrer mich total verwirrt mit den Aufgaben in den originalen ZAP‘s.. ich meine damit, dass wenn dort eine Aufgabe gegeben ist mit „Explain ….“ , dann weiß ich ja nicht das ich in Wirklichkeit ein Summary schreiben muss.. Außerdem weiß ich nicht, wenn da steht „comment on“ ob ich nh ganze Argumentation schreiben soll oder nur meine Argumente kurz mit einer Begründung.. könnte mir eventuell jemand helfen dabei, dass ich sehen kann was genau ich jetzt machen soll??

Ich hab ein One-Way Ticket gebucht, aber da ist ein Rückflugdatum mit dabei.

A short while ago I found a letter in a library book. The letter is about the immigration of Albrecht and his brother Heinrich. They had to leave their country because there wasnt enough work. Their journey to Le Harve was horrible because there were lots of people on the ship and it took two weeks. Abrecht packed a lot of food with because he was warned. During the voyage on the ship, Heinrich became ill and he had to take care of him for two weeks. When they arrived, Albrecht got ill too and had to stay in the hospital on Ellis Island.

After he got better, he went to Heinrich , who has already found a room ,and lived with him. They both were happy to be in New York. Albrecht found a work in a hotel and Heinrich wanted to work on a building site

Das Problem ist, dass ich nicht genau weiß wie man einen blog post schreibt, deswegen würde ich mich wirklich sehr über gute Tipps über einen blog post oder comment freuen. Die Aufgabe war folgende: Schreibe einen Argumentative Essay über das Thema: "Doing an exchange year in Australia is a great idea". Wir mussten mindestens 3 Argumente dafür, und 3 dagegen finden.

Australia, the continent where the most dangerous animals are living, is very interesting for students who want to do an exchange year in a country where people speak English. The following essay will show argument sfor, and against doing an exchange year in Australia.

At the beginning, we will look at the arguments against the exchange year.

First, in Australia there are lots of dangerous animals, for example snakes, spiders, and others, they can kill you with just a bite, and it could be hard to get the medicin for that.

Furthermore, you could argue you cant visit your family very often, the distance between Australia and Germany is really big, and the tickets for planes are really expensive.

The last argument against the exchange year, is that it might be hard for you to understand the Australian people talking, because of their hard accent.

Lets move on to the arguments for doing an exchange year in Australia.

Firstly, Australia offers a lot when it comes to nature, on the one day you could see a shark swimming in the sea, and on the other, you could be in the desert.

Another argument for doing the exchange year is, that you can learn a lot about other cultures, for example the Aboriginals. You could learn how they lived in the Outback, or about the stolen generations.

Last but not least, you could argue that you would learn the language, if you are doing an exchange year in Australia, because you would speak English all day long.

In my opinion, an exchange year to Australia is a great way to learn English, and a lot about the aboriginals and how the lived there

Guten Mittag,

Wir schreiben in ungefähr 1 Woche in Englisch eine Arbeit. Nun ist das Problem, dass mein Englisch sehr schlecht ist und diese Arbeit ein Listening und ein Text mit Gapped summary beinhaltet.

Hat jemand Gute Ratschläge wie ich das Listening üben könnte und kennt Websiten dafür? (Text hören und danach z.B. einen Lückentext ausfüllen : Niveau: Klasse 12)

Mein Wortschatz und mein Leseverständnis sind ebenso schlecht, bei einem Gapped Summary hatte ich bis jetzt immer maximal 2 Lücken richtig. Wie übe ich das am besten in unter 7 Tagen?
