Is the environment important for your school?

Have you ever thought about the importance of the environment? Usually, schools don’t care enough about this topic, but it does not have to be like this. Our commercial college tries to make the world a better place.

Our school organizes several activities like collecting litter. Furthermore, we save energy by replacing light bulbs with energy-saving lamps and we turn off the heating and the lights when we don’t need them. Another important aspect is that we can visit some very interesting lectures about environmental change.

But it always sounds easier than it is in reality. We have to give up a lot if we want to succeed. We are not allowed to print out a lot of texts; we have to make sure that our computers are powered off if we don’t need them. I also have to mention that we try to make as few emissions as possible even when we go on a trip. For example, we try to avoid planes and prefer electric vehicles.

But we can never do too much for the environment. That is the reason why we should also care about it in our free time like I do. I only buy organic food, never drink from plastic bottles, and I do not wrap my food in plastic. Last but not least, our daily routine has to change too. Not every student can drive a car to school. We should use public transportation instead or found a carpool.

So, in conclusion, what are the key points to bear in mind if you want to save our planet? To sum it up, three things are important: don’t waste electricity, avoid plastic, and make use of public transportation. On the one hand, it is not always easy to live an eco-friendly life. On the other hand, it is worth it because we can all benefit from a healthy planet.

Hallo, ich habe heute meine Fachabi-Prüfung in Englisch geschrieben. Bei einer Aufgabe musste man ein Bild analysieren. Es war ein Mädchen, das gestresst war und sich an den Kopf gefasst hat. Ich wollte schreiben, dass das Mädchen Kopfschmerzen, also „headache“, hat, aber ich dachte, dass man es schreibt, wie man es spricht. Also habe ich „headdick“ geschrieben. Wird das einfach nur als Grammatikfehler bewertet, oder was passiert jetzt da?

They also did it but more arguments broke out after they had done it for the first time, so, after all, they lost their land nevertheless. Today they live on reservations.“

Hey, Also erstmal muss ich klarstellen dass mich diese Lehrerin hasst, ich und sie haben seit Jahren Probleme miteinander aber in den letzten Monaten ging es wirklich richtig zu. Aufjedenfall habe ich meine Englisch Klausur (Analysis) letzt geschrieben und 5 Punkte bekommen, was ich auch nicht anders erwartet hätte bei ihr. Ich hab mit ihr morgen ein Termin vereinbart um über die Klausur zu sprechen. Ich weiß aber, dass jeder meiner Punkte von ihr irgendwie verteidigt wird auf ihrer Englisch Lehrer Fachsprache, die ich nicht verstehe und dann muss ich nachgeben. Ich weiß, es ist wirklich sehr viel verlangt aber ich bitte jemanden von euch darum, falls die Lust dazu besteht, den Text sich durchzulesen und mir zu sagen ob 5 Punkte berechtigt sind und ob ihre ganzen Anmerkungen daneben auch berechtigt sind. Habt ihr Tipps wie ich herausfinden kann, ob es sich um einen Satz in der Present Perfect handelt, oder ob es sich um einen Satz in der past simple handelt?

Present Perfect: I've collected 57 Funko Pops since last year.

Past simple: He went for a walk an hour ago.

Das es bestimmte Signalwörter gibt ist mir bewusst. Auch ist mir bewusst, dass bei einer bestimmten Zeitangabe immer die past simple verwendet wird.

Last year I flew for two weeks to Australia.

Aber mir fällt es trotzdem schwer herauszufinden, ob man nun die Past simple oder die Present Perfect braucht. Habt ihr noch Tipps?

Germany has the advantage that people come to Germany from all over the world and they are treated well. Most people come from Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan and Poland. There are a lot of sights in Germany since Germany consists of 16 federal states. German corner is in Koblenz and there‘s a statue of William, the first German emperor, and it is very gorgeous there. You can explore the natural location there and just relax. Another famous sight is the Cologne cathedral which is a gorgeous catholic church. In my opinion some people could be much friendlier as they sometimes stare at you or talk to you in an unfriendly way. But of course there are also very kind people."

ich wäre euch echt dankbar!

Hilfe ich hatte ein Jahr wegen Lehrer Mangel kein Englisch und verstehe dieses Thema immer noch nicht🥲 (übermorgen ist meine Prüfung) und ich versuche die ganze Zeit dieses Vergangenheits Zeug zu lernen aber verstehe das garnicht.

Kann mir wer erklären, woher ich weiß, was richtig ist? Da fehlen mir immer die meisten Punkte.

Hi! Ich brauche deine Hilfe bei den Sätzen 13 und 19. In der Schule haben wir gerade das Thema indirekte Rede und sollen diese Sätze umwandeln. Für Satz 13 bin ich mir unsicher, ob es richtig ist: "She asked me if I could tell her where the post office was" oder "She asked me to tell her where the post office was". Und bei Satz 19 frage ich mich, ob es heißen soll: "She asked me if I would mind waiting a moment" oder "She asked me to mind waiting a moment". Ich habe gehört, dass wenn Modalverben wie could, would usw. im Satz stehen, man dann "asked me to" verwenden soll. Stimmt das? In meiner Klasse sind die Meinungen dazu sehr unterschiedlich.

Beides ist ja so eine Art Bestätigungs Art. So wie im deutschen "oder?". Ich hätte right gesagt, weil man das fast überall hört. In der Schule haben wir aber gelernt, dass er halt heisst "are you?" oder "am i?" usw., was ich eigentlich noch nie gehört habe.

Muss ich für folgenden Satz ein Adjektiv oder ein Adverb einsetzten?

Weil eig ja ein Adverb, aber wegen dem taste wird es doch zum Adjektiv, oder?

Wie muss der Satz lauten?

Die Sprachkurse in der VHS basieren immer auf einem Übungsbuch, aus dem ca. 5% der Übungen gemeinsam (im Unterricht) bzw. als Hausaufgaben gemacht werden. Die anderen 95% des Buches muss man selbst durcharbeiten.

Ich finde, dass man in diesen 1,5 Std. pro Woche kaum was lernt. Das meiste muss man sowieso selbst zu Hause lernen.

Dazu kommt noch, dass diese Methoden äußerst fragwürdig sind. Kein Kind würde je seine Muttersprache mit solchen abstrakten Grammatik-Regeln pauken und dennoch beherrscht jedes Kind perfekt die Grammatik.

Gibt es bessere Methoden, eine Fremdsprache zu erlernen?

Welche Methoden haben euch am meisten in geholfen und wie lernt man am effektivsten und effizientesten Englisch?

Hi, bin damals in der 12ten abgegangen auf dem Gymnasium leider wegen zu viel Defiziten. Hab bis zum Ende Englisch LK gehabt.

Trotzdem habe ich nur das Fachabi bekommen. Habe ich das Englisch Niveau B2 jetzt? ich finde es nicht in den Unterlagen

Ich habe leider in genau 1er Woche WH in Englisch. Beide meiner SA waren sehr knapp. Einmal 59% und einmal 57%. Wie könnte ich mein englisch soweit verbessern, dass ich es in der WH positiv schaffe?

Wie habt ihr euch denn immer auf englisch vorbereite. Ich schaue schon viele Serien auf englisch und übe auch mit dem Aufgabenpool, aber vllt gibt es noch einen besseren tipp.

in the following text I speak about the topic the role of sports among young people. The text based on the cartoon from pinterest. The role of sports in children‘s life has changed.

The cartoon shows two parts divided into the years 1998 and 2018. In the forderground of the part of 1998 can you see a mother, who stops a boy. Next to the boy is a ball. The mother pulls hin in the house against he will. The part two of year 2018 shows the mother with the boy too. But the mother pulls the boy out of the house against he will. The Boy is holding a game console in his hands. In both parts acts the mother vigorously to get him in and out of the house. Furthermore can you see in both parts, that the boy does not seem pleased to have to finish his activity.

I think the cartoonist is intended to show, that the young generation spend variously sporty activities in the past and today. In year 1988 the boy wants to spend his free time outside playing ball games. The boy in year 2018 wants to play games inside on his game console.

I agree with the cartoonist, because playing online games are very popular at present and are the new trend under young people. A lot of teenager spend a lot of time inside and playing game console. But this have for the young generation negative consequenses. I think playing online games are very bad for the Health of young generation. Because of, the people get not enough movement and this can lead for example to overwight. On the top the youngs start to meet gaming friends instead of their real friends. Through this the youngs lost the realitiy. An another big consequense is that the childrens could become a addict. So, the young generation get not even physical but also a mental health problem.

In summary I can say that the kind of doing sport are different in the past and now. Today, the role of sport for childrens focused in playing online games.
