In manchen Kirchen/Gemeinden darf die Frau aber während der Menstruation die Kirche nicht betreten, bei manchen dürfen sie nur nicht an der Kommunion teilnehmen und zB nicht Ikonen küssen. Und bei manchen gibt es kein Verbot.

Auch die Begründung ist unterschiedlich. Bei manchen geht es um Blut generell, bei anderen auch um die Menstruation an sich (wenn keine Befruchtung stattfindet, wird die Eizelle während der Periode zusammen mit der verdickten Schleimhaut der Gebärmutter ausgespült.).
