Es ist tatsächlich eine (scherzhafte?) Verballhornung von legit, das selber bereits eine Verkürzung von legitimate (= rechtmäßig) ist. Siehe z.B. :

  • Q: Is the website airleague.co.uk lidgit?

    • A: There is no negative reports regarding www.airleague.co.uk Just to be sure, you may want to call them on T: 02072228463 They seem Legit though!

  • Q: How can you tell if a pokemon is lidgit, or has been "action-replayed"? (Yahoo! Answers)

    • A: You mean "legit". And you can't really.However, many legendaries will be hacked since they're rare... (Yahoo! Answers)

das is keine umgangssprache, sondern einfach extrem schlechtes englisch.. meiner meinung nach soll dieses wort "legit" ~ legal bedeuten..

Das ist wohl eine (bewusste) Verdrehung von "legit"

Ist allerdings offenbar nicht jedem bewusst, der's verwendet, s. meine Beispiele ("*I now know how to spell legit *")
