Der Text trifft schon eine gewissene Seite von der kalifornischen Kultur. Daher passt es! Mir gefällt den Sound und die Melodie auch total gut.
Blink 182 wollte Kalifornien im Lieb ein bißchen veräppeln, m.M.n. Der Text ist etwas beleidigend, Kalifornien gegenüber.

Ist glaub' ich nicht hauptsächlich über Kalifornien, aber The neighbourhood- Greetings from Califournia
Ha! "California" von Blink 182 ist klasse. Ich habe lange in Cali gelebt, aber das Lied noch nie gehoert (gehabt).
Es ist etwas "tongue-in-cheek" / "ironisch gemeint" ... und der Liedtext stimmt zum grossen Teil. Da ich lange dort gelebt habe, habe ich ein anderes Kalifornien kennengelernt. Man will es nicht glauben, aber es gibt ganz normale Leute dort. ;-)
Trotzde finde ich das Lieb "edgy" und gut. Es steckt viel Wahrheit dahinter, ist aber kein "Posterchild" von Kalifornien insgesamt.
