Gibt es das Wort strawline?
Ist strawline tatsächlich ein englisches Wort für Strohhalm oder existiert nur (drinking) straw? Hab das wo gelesen, finde es allerdings nicht im Wörterbuch.

Das Wort existiert, aber mit dem Strohhalm hat das englische “strawline“ nichts zu tun. Auf das Wort (und auf etliche andere ungewöhnliche Begriffe) stößt man im Takelage - und im Kabel-Bereich :

Nicht offiziell jedenfalls. Weder dict.cc noch Wiktionary kennen es, auch nicht das Urban Dictionary.
Dennoch wäre ich nicht überrascht, es in einem US-englischen Text zu lesen. Manche US-Amerikaner sind sehr kreativ in individuellen Wortschöpfungen. Man müsste den gesamten Text plus Quellenangabe haben, um das besser zu beurteilen.
