welche Bücher muss ich im Anglisktik studium gelesen haben?

Ich werde anglistik studieren und würde gerne wissen, welche bücher man dafür gelesen haben sollte? oder welche bücher sind standart für anglistik studenten? oder empfehlungen?

Ich studier auch Anglistik (bzw. nennt es sich mittlerweile "English Studies") und zwar gar nicht mal so unerfolgreich. Ich hab mich kein bisschen speziell auf das Studium vorbereitet, alles was ich mitbrachte, war Interesse, eine halbwegs ordentliche Allgemeinbildung und gutes Englisch (letzteres scheint übrigens nicht unbedingt eine Selbstverständlichkeit zu sein, wie ich mit Entsetzen immer wieder bei Kommilitonen feststelle....).

Es mag zwar ein paar "Standardwerke" geben, von denen man zumindest mal gehört haben sollte (1984, Gedöns von Shakespeare...), aber niemand setzt voraus, dass du irgendwas schon vor dem Studium gelesen hast. Wenn etwas für ein Seminar relevant ist, wird dir das mitgeteilt und du hast genug Gelegenheit, dir das jeweilige Werk zu besorgen und es zu lesen.

Für das Anglistik-Studium muss man sich nicht mit lesen vorbereiten. Voraussetzung ist sehr gutes Englisch. Den Rest lernt man bei Vorlesungen oder Seminaren, und die sind bei jeder Uni anders , man wählt sich auch Themen aus,

Vielleicht liest du einfach mal alles von Shakespeare von vorne bis hinten, wenn dir langweilig ist. Ansonsten fahr doch lieber nochmal nach England bevor die Uni losgeht und rede ein bisschen :)
