Es geht wohl insbesondere um "Our beautiful America was built by a nation of strangers".

Es geht hier eigentlich nicht um Spott, sondern darum, dass die USA, ihre Nation von außen aufgebaut worden ist.

Ich würde sagen: "The quotation figures out that the United States were built by immigrants, by people who grounded there from abroad, from different countries. That means that this new nation is kind of artificial building of a come-together from different nations to be one. But that is too idealistic considering the handling to the natives, the early fights of the different group getting in, the cruelties of slavery. So it is quite true that only unity can be the bedrock for the united stated, the common will to solve problems all together avoids to fall into divided states."

Zu allererst heißt es "decide" und "because", abgesehen davon ist natürlich der ganze Satzbau falsch und ich habe keinen Bock dir einen ganzen Text vorzudichten, sorry.

Hey, Liebe GT Communitie ^^ Ich habe in der Schule die Aufgabe bekommen einen Englischen Text über Rassismus zu schreiben. Ich bin mir nicht ganz sicher ob er mir gelungen ist. Und möchte keine Fehler begehen immerhin stehe ich gerade auf einer schlechten Note. Erbarmt sich jemand diesen zu kontrollieren??? Ober er okay ist oder so.

Racism is an evil that can destroy society. The definition of racism is for example when a person, a group, not accepted because of their skin color, their religion, their sex and their origin. Austria is a nation of immigrants and, as such, it is a diverse society where racism and prejudice have no place. Racism hurts people. I myself never became actually really a discriminated. But that’s only me. The new one will be always looked with mistrust. This true lies in the nature of the Humans. In society today, people look for an easy way out of problems. Most of the time, they can just blame their problems on other people or other races. When people behave in this prejudiced way, they just make themselves seem ignorant. I think that if people could see beyond ethnic origin, racism would not be a problem.

There are many British citizens who have their own countries belonging to the Commonwealth. Black people maily came from the Caribbean. Afro-Caribbeans are slaves from Africa who were transported to the Caribbean by British ships. In 1807, Britain stopped the slave trade.

London has been completely changed by the Caribbean people. They have influenced the social, economic and cultural life in London.

After the World War II, the British economy needed workers.The Caribbeans settled to London in larger numbers in the late 1940s to rebuild a post-war nation in London, they came with passion and excitement. But they had to face a different Britian and were very disappointed; Founding a home was not that easy. The rooms were often in bad condition and the rents were high. They had to do work with low wages that nobody else wanted to do. Police protection was not adequate so they had to deal with physical and verbal abuse.

Thus they developed selg-help organisations. Later, they created their own first Black newspaper "The voice".

They achieved their own buisness in London, running their own shops, restaurant or nightclubs. Others have achieved high postions in public life. The strength of the Caribbean peopel can be felt everywhere in London.

They had to work very hard to build up the country. Furthermore, there are diseases that were unexplored at the time. There are people who die because of it. So much work is needed to build America to make it the country it is today.

The author then writes about the disagreements Americans have with themselves. Americans often change their minds. For example, Americans are sometimes against the government, but sometimes for it. They don't know what exactly they want.

Furthermore, the American people have achieved a great deal in the past. They do a lot, but when they get tired of being successful they prefer to think about what makes them unhappy. Americans live paradoxically.

The author also writes that the people who live in American high society are not advanced in their thoughts. For example, a man needs electricity every day but doesn't know how to fix the problem if the fuse breaks.

In addition, it has become American culture that the child must be educated in a family. The parents assume it and want the child to be successful. It's their dream.

First off all, social media are the best option for humans to express new possibilities for their future. They can find new attractions and places in the world, which they would never have heard of.

Second, social networks are often used to find out the answer to questions, when not knowing the answer. Most of the people just take out their mobile phones, type it in and then they can read the answer.

Third, social media are used to stay in contact with your friends, even if they move or travel.On the other side there are also negative points, for example that there aren’t just websites with goog thoughts, like websites where violence or sexual content is shown. Furthermore it has to be mentioned that there are people, mostly men, who get on these websites and don’t do legitimate things.On top of that, there are teenagers, who use social network platforms to bully their classmates. For this they use networks where you can write anonymously.

Weighing the pros and cons, I come to the decision, that social media isn’t a big problem for teenagers, if there are rules, which have to be followed and controlled by humans and / or machines.On top I think that social media should even be more popular, so that parents also know about it, so that they can teach their children about the problems.

Hallo ich habe hier einen Englischtext und es würde mir insgeheim sehr helfen, wenn ihr mein Text korrigieren könntet. Falls ihr bessere Vokabelvorschläge habt, dann immer her damit. Summarizing a poem

-The poem "Growing up" written by Wes Magee describes an unknown lyrical I, who is visibly surprised about the change of the parents, who have been stopping complaining about their childs' habits for months.

The poem can be divided into two parts. First of all the lyrical I is still wondering about the sudden silence of the parents. Before that happend, they had critized their child about every little detail and had asked for acting with more mature.

Secondly, the lyrical I spectaculates the significance of the silence towards their child. It is asking if that means, they are just gave up or gave him the chance to take his own choices and responsiblity.

Boot Camps in Germany !!!

Some people mean that the boot camps in the USA a good idea , but should be boot camps introduced in germany ?

Many people and parents says that boot camps are very good , because boot camps helps troublemakers to learn discipline. And when they learn discipline the crime rate will be go down. Second, the lessons in the school will be more quiet and than the students can better learn and have than better marks. As well the children will be trained they physical fitness and they learn to live healthy. When they used to the circumstances in boot camps, they will live in that way , when leaving the camp.

However, other people and parents are against boot camps, because they think that the children soon forget about boot camp and get in trouble again. Another argument against is the cost ! If boot camps are built in germany, the state would have many costs. The last argument is that many people say that children didnt learn discipline but should have been broken. People say that the boot camps are to hard for children and that the teachers in the camps are too strict.

After looking at both sides I think that boot camps shouldnt be built in germany. The advantages are very good, but the disadvantages are predominant.

The author of the cartoon makes also clear that there are many people from different country‘s where english is spoken in their own way of talking. There are so many accents, slang words which can make it difficult to understand a person from another country. The uncomfortable athmosphere and the confused looks of the people in the picture symoblizes that they all can‘t understand each other. Hallo kann jemand folgenden Text korrigieren? Dankeschön Dear Ben Russell, I read your article “Credit cards to ration individuals' carbon use“, which is published in newspaper The Independent in July19,2006. First of all I want to say that I think it's very good that there are people like you who think about the environment and of course about the problems which are exist. The suggestion is that every body has a credit-card with Carbon Dioxide points and if someone travels, use electricity, gas or petrol with carbon rations they have to pay. There is a special amount of this points and if you need more than your personal cap you have to buy credits on the open market. On the other side if there are people who cut the pollution of the carbon they produce, they could sell their surplus. Mr Miliband also suggests that banning products like light bulbs or electrical appliances which waste power while on standby, have to forbid. Everyone have to make automatic payments of offset pollution. I think this credit cards are not a good idea, because there would be a discrimination, because on the one hand rich people wouldn't cut their consume because they have the money to buy this credits. The most of them wouldn't take care about the environment. On the other hand the poor people have to take care about their carbon use. They haven't got the money to buy new credits. The result would be that the poor people take care and the richer people don't take care. Now you can say that it's maybe not a completely good result but now there are a few people who take care. Better than no one. But what is if the poorer people have to use the car everyday because they have to drive to work. They have to pay that they are working. This wouldn't make work more attractive. The poorer people are disadvantaged. Another cause why this credit cards are not a good idea is that you can't control it. There would be a lot of situations where are disagreements. For example if people drive together to work. Now who have to pay with carbon for that? The driver or the other ones? Another fact is that you can't handle everything with money. Everyone has to pay that the environment become better. But money doesn't help. You can't stop the global warming with money. My idea is that there have to be recompenses for those people who do something against the environment problems. There have to be individual things, which make environment protection very attractive and also necessary. It's very important that everybody knows about the problems and the results if we go on like this. All in all I think it's very good that there are people who think about a solution and things that can be do to stop the global warming. Nevertheless I think the credit-cards and money wouldn't be a good solution

The story 'Only a game' written by Elizabeth Smith, is about Robert and Tom, who are on a trip to Funland, Trocadero. As Robert and Tom arrive in Trocadero, they decide to go to Funland. The two boys are really excited and Tom proposes to try out a virtual reality game. Robert joins him and they are putting on the helmets to start the game. Robert and Tom chose to play in year 1888, the time when 'Jack the Ripper' killed very much people. Robert gets scared. It is getting to realistic to him because they can smell dead fishes, feel cold bricks and suddely a shadow comes near them. Robert is afraid. He assumes that 'Jack the Ripper' comes after them. But they are lucky: the shadow is just the shadow of a flower girl, whose mother was the last victim of 'Jack the Ripper'. Tom throws his arms around the girl and suddenly they hear a man shouting. He says that Tom should get off the girl and the rest of the people who arrive, are thinking that the two boys are the murders, who killed all the people. Tom and Robert are afraid and they are taking off their helmets to leave the game. But nothing changes. They are still in the game... or has it become reality?

I have choose the country spain. I was in spain 3 Times in holidays and I think its a nice country. In Spain the people welcoming other people with shaking hands, and if the people better know with peck on the cheek first right than left. They like eye controll by the welcoming. The spanish say to welcoming hola and to leave talking adios. The spanish speak a lot, loud and manual with their hands. They dont want to hear about uncomfortable truths, and dont access our job experience and our success to much. They dont like the topic to speak about relicion or bullfights. The topics they like are family, sport or our home country. The spanish dont like to speak spain becaus they are very proud of their country. For breakfast the people in spain like coffe with milk and muffins or croissant. The lunch in Spain is from 2 pm till 4 pm. A typical lunch exists three course. First course is a salad or soup or Tapas. Tapas are traditonal is a kind of a snack. The entree of Lunch is meat or fish. The dessert is most a ice or pudding. The dinner is less than the lunch and its is from 9 pm till 11 pm. Traditonal spain food is paella or tapas and they like to eat fish or seafood. Spanish people are muslims also they dont eat pork. In Spain the people make siesta from 2 pm till 5 pm .
