Die Verwendung von Verben und Substantiven (Grammatik / Englisch)?
Komme bei der Aufgabe nicht weiter. Wir sollen ein Wort einsetzen für 2 Sätze.
a) the internet has become a communications channel that ~s millions of people around the word
b) To open the application from, just follow the ~ in the email.
Also es soll ein Wort für beide eingesetzt werden. Wer hat eine Idee ?

Wie lautet denn die Aufgabenstellung genau? Das gleiche Wort kann schon mal nicht in beiden Sätzen eingesetzt werden, da im ersten Satz ein Verb fehlt und im zweiten ein Substantiv.
Das bereits vorgeschlagene Verb "connect" passt im ersten Satz schon mal ganz gut.
"The internet has become a communications channel that connects millions of people around the world."
Im zweiten Satz würde ich eher "instructions" vorschlagen:
"To open the application form, just follow the instructions in the email."
("instruction form" / "world" : Tippfehler)
Hm, dann muss ich noch einmal nachdenken. Bis jetzt fällt mir noch kein Wort für diese beiden Sätze ein.
Du müsstest es aber leichter haben, denn du hast ja offensichtlich einen Text vorliegen, in dem dieses Wort vorkommt. ("replace the tilde by a word from the text")
Ich sehe gerade, dass @ Magical Girl dir die Lösung ja sowieso schon geliefert hat:
"The internet has become a communications channel that links millions of people around the world."
Im zweiten Satz würde ich eher "instructions" vorschlagen:
"To open the application form, just follow the link in the email."
Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob ich deine Frage richtig verstanden habe... Soll in beiden Sätzen das selbe Wort benutzt werden nur einmal als Verb und einmal als Substantiv oder wie? Wenn ja, dann könnte man vielleicht das Wort links/link nehmen. Mein Englisch ist nicht das beste, aber so weit ich weiß kann ,,to link" verbinden heißen und im unteren Satz ist eben der Link gemeint. Bin mir aber nicht sicher, ob man das so sagen kann.
