Today I will tell you a bit about the book: The boy in the stripped
We are reading this book in school. But we have just read four chapters yet and I am not a fan of this book. Now I will tell you something about the first four chapters so you can make up your own mind.
In the Book are 4 main characters. Bruno, Brunos Mother, his sister and his dad. Bruno and his family are living in Berlin. His family is very rich and they also have a maid and a buttler. One day when Bruno came back from school he saw their made Maria while she was packing his things. He asked his mother why and she said that they are moving away from Berlin because his father has a new job. After they arrived in the new house Bruno noticed that the new house is smaller then in Berlin. He asked his mother every day if they can arrive back to the old house but his mother did not answered. On the second day Bruno saw a camp behind his house. He showed it to his sister and together they discovered that this camp was very very dirty and all these people were wearing a striped pyjama. And now they will find out something about the camp.
This was the end of chapter 4 and we have not already read further yet. But what do you think happen in this camp and what is it? Please tell me your ideas.

- Es ist "the striped pyjama", nicht "stripped". Es kommt von stripes (Streifen)!
- Das "yet" passt nicht gut, ich würde den Satz ändern in: "But we've only read a few chapters"
- In the book, there are...
- Die 4 würde ich als four ausschreiben. Das macht man bis twelve so, ab dann kannst du gerne als Zahl abkürzen.
- "Bruno's mother" (Nomen werden im Englischen kleingeschrieben, wenn sie keine Eigennamen sind, und vergiss das Apostroph bei Genitiv nicht).
- Es ist "butler" mit einem t.
- Beim eingeschobenen Nebensatz solltest du Kommata setzen: One day, when Bruno came back from school, ...
- Nicht "made" und "maid" verwechseln - eins heißt "gemacht", eins heißt "Dienstmädchen".
- "... she said that they were moving ..." -> Wenn du indirekte Rede benutzt und es mit der Vergangenheit einleitest (also "she said", nicht "she says"), dann musst du jedes Verb eine Stufe zurück in die Vergangenheit setzen. Aus are wird also were, aus has wird had etc. Schau mal drüber, das passiert nämlich in dem Text mehrmals. Auch bei Fragen gilt das! Kleiner Tipp, aus can wird in dem Fall could.
- "Bruno noticed that the new house was smaller than in Berlin"
- "... go/move back to the old house" -> arrive ist hier nicht passend, es heißt eher ankommen. Go back oder move back passt besser.
- Die Frage "and what is it?" verstehe ich nicht ganz. Was meinst du damit?
- "... his mother did not answer". Wenn du einen Satz in der Vergangenheit verneinst, also "didn't" benutzt, dann steckt da schon die Vergangenheit drin. Deswegen steht das Verb danach in der Grundform, das -ed wird dann nicht gebraucht.
- Statt "very, very dirty" gibt es passendere Synonyme, zum Beispiel "filthy". Da steckt dann schon drin, dass es wirklich sehr dreckig ist.
- "... all these people were wearing striped pyjamas." Wenn du auf Englisch sagst, dass alle einen gestreiften Pyjama trugen, dann versteht man das auch so: Alle Menschen trugen einen Pyjama. Das wäre ziemlich unvorstellbar, wie die da alle gleichzeitig reinpassen sollen :) Deswegen: Sie trugen gestreifte Pyjamas, nicht einen gestreiften Pyjama.
- "... and we have not read further yet" -> hier brauchst du kein "already", das wäre, wie wenn du auf Deutsch sagen würdest: Wir haben schon noch nicht weitergelesen. Also einfach das "schon" löschen.
- "But what do you think will happen ..." Du musst die Zukunftsform benutzen, wenn du über die Zukunft sprichst.
Inhaltlich gut, die Note würde auf deine Klassenstufe ankommen. Viele Fehler waren drin, aber mit meinen Korrekturen ist dieses Problem ja gelöst. :) Wegen der indirekten Rede kannst du mir die Sätze nochmal verbessert als Kommentar schicken, dann schau ich drüber, ob du sie richtig korrigiert hast.
Ich gehe 4te Gymnasium (Unterstufe) österreich! Und ja gerne wenn ich darf schicke ich gerne!

schon der Titel des Buches ist falsch geschrieben, da habe ich erst gar nicht weitergelesen.
Zur Note kann man auch nichts sagen, da das immer auch von der genauen Aufgabenstellung und vom Notendurchschnitt der ganzen Klasse.
