Englisch: Wie höfliche Erinnerung schreiben, dass man etwas möchte, was aber freiwillig ist?

Ich habe ein Seminar besucht, bei der Nachbesprechung sagte mir die Lehrerin, dass Sie mir einige Bücher zusenden würde. Das ist auf freiwilliger Basis, aber bis jetzt hat sie noch nichts geschickt. Ist jetzt ca. 2,5 Wochen her. Weihnachten war dazwischen.

Sie ist Britin. Wie sollte ich (auf Englisch) nachfragen, dass ich diese Bücher (Weiterbildung) gerne haben möchte? Wie schreibe ich das so, dass die "Erinnerung" daran sehr freundlich klingt, aber trotzdem wirkt? (Wie gesagt, das ist komplett freiwillig)

Mein Ansatz: Dear Mrs......... I would be honored, if you could send me the books you mentioned. I would really like to know more about (topic of the books).

Sollte man das so schreiben, oder kommt das zu bestimmt rüber?

Statt "I would be honoured" würde ich "I would be glad" schreiben.

Das reicht doch völlig aus. Sie hat es bestimmt nur vergessen, da darf man sie ja dann auch dran erinnern.

Englisch: would oder used to?

Hallo, wie man am Titel unschwer erkennen kann, habe ich eine Frage bezüglich der beiden Konstruktionen. Es ist klar, dass beide Handlungen in der Vergangenheit beschreiben, jedoch ist mir nicht ganz klar, wann welche verwendet wird. In meinem Englischbuch wird es so dargestellt, als ob beide gleichermaßen verwendet werden. Unser Lehrer erklärte es uns aber so, dass "used to" verwendet wird, wenn man über etwas Vergangenes spricht, das nicht mehr passiert und "would", wenn man über wiederholte Handlungen in der Vergangenheit spricht.

Bsp:

used to: When she was 4 years old, she used to go to bed at 6 o' clock.

would: When I was young, my mother would read books to me.

Für mich drücken beide Sätze dasselbe aus, weshalb ich nicht verstehe, was nun der Unterschied sein soll.

Vielleicht finden sich ja einige Englisch-Experten, die mir das erklären können.
