Woher kommt eigentlich das Wort „Hi“?
Es wird beinahe überall verwendent, aber woher kommt dieses Wort eigentlich und vorallem was bedeutes es? Ich mein, es ist mir schon klar, dass es für „Hallo“ steht, aber eigentlich ergibt es doch keinen Sinn, oder?

The greeting "hi" apparently came into use in the 14th or 15th century (written record to 1475), as a variant of "hey" (written as early as 1225).
