Übersetzung/Bedeutung: Hopple
Es geht um folgenden Satz: "Down in the city just hoople and me"
Er ist aus dem Lied "Now I´m here" von Queen. Ich finde keine übersetzung für hoople. Auch in der deutschen Übersetzung, die es im Netz gibt, wird es als hoople übersetzt. Ist es ein Kosewort oder ein Name? Kann mir jemand sagen, was hoople bedeutet? Vielen Dank im Vorraus.

das ist ein slang wort und heißt soviel wie pfirsiche (ich kenn das lied nicht darum weiß ich nicht ob das jetzt sinn ergibt)
Das könnte hin kommen. Eine Strophe vorher heißt es "... peaches and me...".
das ist die offizielle bedeutung. hat aber mit dem lied bestimmt nichts zu tun:
hopple

Mott the Hoople war eine Rockband aus Großbritannien, die in den 1970er Jahren erfolgreich war.
Mit dieser Band war Queen sehr oft auf Tour und war auch, bevor sie selbst berühmt wurden, die Vorband von Mott.
Da sich beide Bands gut verstanden haben, hat Queen sie auch in dem Lied erwähnt. Daher der Text "Down in the City just hoople an me!"

Hopple is a man, er ist im Stadt mit Hopple. Hopple is kein echte name, es ist ein spitzname , a nick name.
