Today I want to talk about the famous wax museum Madame Tussauds. Marie Tussaud founded London's first wax museum in 1835. The figures depict celebrities, sport stars, royals, actors and many more. You can take a photo of the figures or experience the gistory of London on a taxi ride. Last but not least, you can watch a 4D movie with real smoke, splashing water and a shaking floor. Today, the museum has establishments worldwide, for example in Berlin, Hong Kong, New York, Vienna and Amsterdam.
Madame Tussauds in London has about 300 wax figures which often changes since new figures are produced and old ones removed. The figures are dressed in real clothing and have real hair. Making one figure takes six months. Today, Madame Tussauds is very famous and popular. It has been visited over 200 million times, with 2,5 million visits each year. I find Madame Tussuads very interesting because the figures look so real (alternativ: look so life-like). It is incredible that wax figures look like real persons.
