Als Bruder eines US-Staatsbürgers eine Greencard bekommen?

Mein Bruder wurde in den USA geboren und hat demnach auch die staatbürgerchaft.

Ich habe auch über ein Jahr in den USA Gelebt wurde aber in Deutschland geboren, habe also keine US-staatsbürgerschaft. Wir leben jetzt seit fast 10 jahren wieder in deutschland.

Wie schwehr ist es also in dieser Situation eine Greencard für die USA zu bekommen?

Other family members eligible to apply for a Green Card are described in the following family “preference immigrant” categories:

• First preference (F1) - unmarried sons and daughters (21 years of age and older) of U.S. citizens;
• Second preference (F2A) - spouses and children (unmarried and under 21 years of age) of lawful permanent residents;
• Second preference (F2B) - unmarried sons and daughters (21 years of age and older) of lawful permanent residents;
• Third preference (F3) - married sons and daughters of U.S. citizens; and
• Fourth preference (F4) - brothers and sisters of U.S. citizens (if the U.S. citizen is 21 years of age and older).

Schau die Kategorie F-4 an. Er muss mindestens 21 Jahre alt sein. Diese Kategorie ist die schlechteste, da die Greencard gedeckelt sind und pro Preferenz jedes Jahr nur eine bestimmte Anzahl ausgestellt werden, würde das bei euch 10 Jahre dauern, wenn es überhaupt klappt.
