Past Simple oder Past Progressive einsetzen?
Der Text lautet:
One sunny morning a man __ (walk) through the city on his way to work. He _ (wear) a smart suit and tie and _ (talk) on his phone. Suddenly, the sun _ (go) in and it _ (start) raining heavily. The man _ (see) a taxi and _ (start) running towards it. As he _ (run) a $10 bill _ (fall) from his pocket onto the ground, but he didn't notice. He _ (get) into the cab, _ (shut) the door, and the cab _ (drive) away.
One sunny morning a man walked through the city on his way to work. He was wearing a smart suit and tie and talked on his phone. Suddenly, the sun went in and it started raining heavily. The man saw a taxi and started running towards it. As he was running a $10 bill fell from his pocket onto the ground, but he didn't notice. He was getting into the cab, shut the door, and the cab drove away.

Schau: https://www.usingenglish.com/reference/irregular-verbs/shut.html
was walking
was wearing
was talking
went
started
saw
started
was running
fell
got
shut
drove
Fehler Nr. 1: He started raining heavily ?? Nicht: It started raining. ?
Fehler Nr. 2: shut the door. To shut ist ein unregelmäßiges Verb: To shut, shut, shut
Bitte schau ihn dir and und sag mir was falsch ist
The sun went in - the sun was going in ... Das macht für mich keinen Sinn! Beides nicht! Was soll das heißen?
"The sun went in...
The sun has come out / the sun has gone in. Ganz normales Englisch :)
