Kann mir jemand das Rätsel(Brainteaser) erklären?

es handelt sich um ein Rätsel bzw. einen Brainteaser, der wohl öfter bei Bewerbungsgesprächen vorkommt:
You have 10 jars of pills. Each jar contains 100 pills, but one jar contains only 50 pills. How do you determine which jar contains the 50 pills?und als Antwort wird gegeben:
"We can take one pill from the first jar, two pills from the second jar, three pills from the third jar, and so on until we take ten pills from the last jar. This would give us a total of 55 pills. The remaining 45 pills must be in the jar that only has 50 pills."

Ich habe es wirklich versucht, aber ich verstehe die Lösung einfach nicht. Wenn ich 1,2.. bis 10 Pillen entnehme (in diesem einen Durchgang), wie soll denn daran erkenntlich werden, in welchem Glas weniger Pillen sind?
