"Although I live in Cologne, Cologne is in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, which is in the Country Germany."

Cologne is a city in the German state of Northrhine-Westfalia.
Statt "state" kann man auch überkorrekt "federate state" sagen.

Sondern?
Reicht deinem VK nicht deine genaue Adresse?

Cologne is a city / is located in North Rhine-Westphalia.
Hallo,
schon auf Deutsch ist der Satz suboptimal. Wieso zwar ... aber ...?
Nordrhein-Westfalen - North Rhine-Westphalia
is located in (alternativ: is a city in)
in (the Federal Republic of) Germany

Cologne is a city in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
und beziehe ich das dann auf Köln?
Sage ich einfach:
"Cologne is a city located in North Rhine-Westphalia which is located in Country/federal republic of germany?
