The beginning of the world, the time long ago, is known to the first Australiens as ´dreamtime´: The dreamtimes stories teach the Aborigines the rules for their society an their religion. They believe that the gods still live in the earth and in the trees, rivers and stones.

When the British setteled in Sydney in 1788, there were several hundred independent tribes - each with its own culture. The white settlers regarded the Aborigines as primitive people. In less then 200 years they had destroyed the Aborigine communities. In 1998 National Sorry day was started, as va way of apologizing to the Aborigines for the way thei had been treated.

Australia is the sixth-largest country by land area.

Australia is world famous for its natural wonders and wide open spaces, its beaches, deserts, "the bush", and "the Outback"(The Outback is the informal name for the large dry regions covering most of the centre of Australia)

.

Australia is one of the world's most highly urbanised countries; it is well known for the attractions of its large cities such as Sydney

(Sydney is known as the Harbour City. It's the largest, oldest and most cosmopolitan city in Australiawith an enviable reputation as one of the world's most beautiful and liveable cities. Sydney's set next to miles of ocean coastline and sandy surf beaches.)

 Melbourne

(Melbourne, at the head of Port Phillip Bay, is Australia's second largest city and the capital of the south-eastern state of Victoria.

Melbourne is Australia’s cultural capital, with Victorian-era architecture, extensive shopping, museums, galleries, theatres, and large parks and gardens. Its 4-million residents are both multicultural and sports-mad.Reasons to visit Melbourne include major sporting events, using it as a base for exploring surrounding regions such as the Grampians National Park, The Great Ocean Road, and visiting Phillip Island to view the penguin parade)

Brisbane and Perth.

In the following text I will tell you something about the Australian Outback and its inhabitants. Australia is a very big continent. Almost 75% of the whole country are outback. The outback is a very important part of Australia, because of its many different inhabitants. For example the kangaroos. The kangaroos are the Australian rabbits. They are nearly everywhere. In the desert and outback the still have their territories where they are living. Also camels, coalas, wombats and other animals are living in the outback.
The aborigines are the native people in Australia.
They lived there for thousands of years.
But the Australian government forced them to adapt to the modern world. Because of that, they now almost live like "normal" people.
The aborigines invented a very specific body language. It lets them communicate only by using their hands. They also have a very pronounced hunting culture.

So in etwa...hoffe ich konnte helfen.
