Two weeks ago my brother was due to return from South America,where a company had employed him for a year.However,the authorities arrested him at the aiport.They accused him of smuggling and threw him into prison.They also confiscated his passport in spite of the protests of the British Embassy.We tried to visit him,but the authorities refused us permission. He was written many letters to us,but an official opens and censors them. The goverment says that they are detaining him for smuggling drugs,but this obviously untrue.

"They accused him of struggeling and threw him into prision." Passive? Das "him" soll Subjekt werden, weiß jemand die Antwort?

Ich bin hier gerade über eine Definition gestolpert und überlege, wie diese übersetzt lauten würde. Ich selbst komme nur bis zu einem gewissen Punkt und stolpere zuerst bei der Bedeutung bzw. eben Übersetzung von "ease in society". Alles was ich herausfinde macht keinen Sinn. Zwischendurch versteh ich dann mal wieder was und dann wieder nicht. Mein Englisch ist wohl doch nicht mehr, das was es mal war.

So, hier nun die Definition:

"The ability to get along with people in general, social technique or ease in society, knowledge of social matters, susceptibility to stimuli from other members of a group, as well as insight into the temporary moods or underlying personality traits of strangers."

Hallo, ich gehe in die 7 klasse und schreibe nächste Woche eine Englischarbeit. I like it in our school has a good and very big sporthall and i dont like, some of the teachers are very strict! in most schools takes a school hour 45 minutes but in our school takes a school hour 67,5 minutes. I like it's forbidden to smoke in our school, that's I think at all the schools in germany so but still it make many secret and I find that not so good. On my school is a very starts at 8:05 o'clock every day and i like the very big schoolplayground where you can playing or eating. My school is bautiful and i like they.

Was ist der Unterschied zwischen "She has cried", "She has been cried" und "She is been crying"? Irgendwie meint doch jede Form das selbe: "Sie hat geweint", oder?

Hallo (: Mir fällt auf das viele Leute (vorallem Mädchen) mich anschauen. Ich achte auf mein Aussehen und ziehe mich Stylish an blaue Augen gestylte Frisur etc... Kennt ihr das auch? Woran kann das liegen? :|

Hey Leute, seitdem ich ein kleines kind war wurde ich wegen jeder kleinigkeit tag täglich nervös. Es ist zwar viel besser geworden doch immer noch bekomme ich wegen Dingen wo vor ich keine Angst habe jedesmal Herzrassen und muskel zucken. Ich bin jedesmal nervös wenn ich: zum arzt, oder zum gitarrenunterricht gehen muss. Außerdem wenn ich in der Schule Arbeiten schreiben muss usw. Obwohl ich wirklich keine Angst vor diesen Dingen habe (außer vor Arbeiten) werde ich immer sehr nervös. Weiß jemand woran das liegt? Und wie ich diese Nervösität beiseite schaffen kann? Ich hasse dieses Gefühl wenn ich vor etwas sehr nervös bin. Noch eine Frage: ist dieses Gefühl schlecht für mich? Bzw. schadet es mir sehr?

Ich will wissen ob wenn hellblaue oder rote Hosen für mich passen.... Ich bin männlich und 13 Jahre alt und 1.60 m groß.
