"Gender roles", It’s always the same. The people (gawp???) hesitate when I tell them that I like football and I’m interested in technology. That’s not fair! They can’t make me act a girly girl. It’s so annoying! I want to be the way I am, not like everyone else wants me to be. They always say that girls have to be girly; wearing pink dresses and holding dolls in their hands at all time. Later they have to do the chore, raise their kids and the husband has to work and earn money for the family. I don’t like thisway of thinking. I think you can’t define Girls like that, adding that boys are the strong sex and girls are the weak ones. I think it’s not okay to separate boys and girls like this… For example, I like playing Football better than doing my nails or to take care of my appearance. (den nächsten Satz würde ich weg lassen, weil der verwirrt). Everyone has to decide himself/herself if he /she likes it better to play football or to go shopping. It’s not the truth that men can’t pay attention or woman just talk all the time without a break. These thoughts are just making problems and disadvantages for the particular sex. As a woman you should also have the chance to get a higher position in your Job. Also, as a guy you should do the chore just like womens would do it. I think those gender roles are really mean and not fair, but I can’t change anything regarding this subject. People consume those things starting when they are Little. These thoughts are very rampant! so what should I do ?

"to rise" verwendet man, wenn etwas schon einmal tiefer oder ganz unten war. Z.B. the graph is rising after its lowest Point. Eine Idee wie man es sich besser merken könnte währ das Wort "Sunrise" also Sonnenaufgang --> Die Sonne geht von "unten" nach "oben" auf.

"To raise" hat mehrere Bedeutungen; erhöhen (in Anzahl) --> to raise taxes, großziehen --> to raise a child, vergrößern --> to raise a number

heey, ich bin in der selben Situation, auch 10. Klasse und möchte seitdem ich ein Praktikum im Krankenhaus gemacht hab unbedingt Medizin studieren. Aber das soll ja eines der Härtesten Studiengänge sein :/ Das macht ein auf jeden fall angst.
