Hier die Einleitung: Introduction In my professional work, I will deal with the topic of English as a world language or lingua franca. I chose this topic, because I think that English is an interesting language and it is one of the widespread languages. First, I will briefly explain what actually is a world language, and then provide a brief overview of other world languages. Then, I will briefly explain how English became the language of the world. Then comes the important part of my question: it pays to spread English as a lingua franca? has to do. I will answer the question based on own Pro and contra arguments by I'll face the pros and cons. As penultimate I'm about thoughts, how you could incorporate this into the classroom. At the end I will train me an opinion about it, whether it is worthwhile English as Lingua franca to spread or not. This is followed by a summary of my professional work theme.
