Pro und con Argumente (Englisch)?
Hallo,
Wir sollen in Englisch zwei Thesen diskutieren, die eine these lautet ,,Parents can never be friends with their children"
Und die andere ,,strict parents create striky kids"
Zu dem ersten ist mir eingefallen:
Con:
-Children, especially children in a very young age can't take their parents serious if the built a friendship relationship to their parents. They need some rules and diciplin.
Pro:
-Can be both, parents can be parents and friends.
Zum zweiten fällt mir nur ein, dass strenge eltern eben ablenkungen verhindern. Mehr aber nicht

The problem with the first statement is that neither "friend" nor "children" is clearly defined. What kind of friend? Children at what age? Friendship is a relationship between equal persons. So the parents could be friends with their children once the children have grown up (they're no longer kids, but still children). They could not play the roles of their children's friends while the children are underaged minors.
This is not a question of pro/contra, it's a question of what the words are supposed to mean.
