I attend a tourism school in Austria. In general, the food in our school is OK. We have two possibilities to get lunch. To go to the cafeteria, where the food is cooked by some students and chefs. That is a great opportunity for eating lunch, because students can choose between two main dishes and for every lunch students get different types of salads. The second opportunity is to go to the school buffet and buy a sandwich or something sweet. This is why I think the food in the cafeteria is much better than on the buffet, because you can to get more healthy food for lunch which is very important. I hope to hear from you soon.

Das Fettgedruckte muss korrigiert werden. Ich hoffe, ich habe nichts übersehen.

Für das Vokabular und die Rechtschreibung empfehle ich ein gutes (online) Wörterbuch, z.B. pons.com,

für die Grammatik ego4u.de und englisch-hilfen.de - und Finger weg vom Google Übelsetzer und seinen tr.tteligen Kollegen!

This is a great lunch opportunity because students can choose between two main courses and each lunch gives students different types of salad, or the second option is to go to the school buffet and buy a sandwich or something sweet. But on the other hand school uniforms are not very helpful. you can not wear what you want and you can not have your own style. But this is very important at this age. students have to develop their own personalities. moreover you can not stop bullying. maybe it is reduced by school uniforms but you can never stop it forever. there are students who does not look good with them or they are bullied because of their behavior. in addition, bullying takes place in the free time of students. so outsider are only in school protected. above all it is very expensive. families have to buy these uniforms and they are not cheap. when you have more than one child, it becomes more expensive. after school most of the students wear normal clothes. so you have to buy both - school uniforms and clothes for the free time. everyone changes the outfit once per day. it is very expensive for poor families. maybe their children have to wear the uniform the whole day.

Nowadays there are many discussions about school uniforms. In the following comment I will discuss advantages and disadvantages about school uniforms. The main argument is, that uniforms are good for the school because wearing them stops violence and helps to develope a sense of pride in the students. The contra argument is, that uniforms cost a lot of money and are not always suitable for the weather. These are not the only reasons that students have to worry about. They would need to buy additional clothing to wear after school and that would be really expensive. From my point of view the pro argument is really convincing, because the bullies can´t bully another student, because they wear the same uniforms. Moreover, I think that this is a point which is really important for all of us. Additionally, a powerful argument is that they don´t need to think about how to dress in the morning. It's my opinion that uniforms are helpful because the students respect each other.

Passt der Englische Text?

In the poem ‚,The Schoolboy‘‘ by William Blake, you get a clear message that the schoolboy doesn’t enjoy the school and its system at all, so the question that arises is ,,What could school do, to be more enjoyable for the schoolboy and students like me?‘‘

First of all many students have to wake up early in the morning, which isn’t a perfect start into the day. Furthermore they mostly can’t enjoy the morning even if they like to stand up early, because they must get finished quickly for school. To counteract this problem, it would be a good start to begin with school less early and to approach the day more calmly. So to remove the effect of a prison it’s important to produce a more peaceful environment for everyone, to make the classrooms more comfortable and even integrate some outdoors schoollessons in spring and summer, so that the pupils have more joy in learning and are able to concentrate more because of the fresh air and the nature. Last but not least we schoolboys anf schoolgirls should be allowed to have more own thoughts and to be able to control them and not just being forced to memorize things, which won’t be even important for our adulthood.

I also think that the last point which is beinh made here, is a fact which the author want to draw attention to, because it’s a mostly international problem that should has to change as we are not robots.

Los Angeles has seen the evil

A recent school shooting in Los Angeles has brought the issue of school safety in the bad light. So, people became aware of these happening. On 30th April 2023, two 17-year-old students have armed their high school with two guns which left 11 people dead and 5 injured. This incident has left people worried about the safety of students and staff at schools.

Gun violence, especially in schools, is still a national crisis in the United States and migrants are still allowed to carry a gun because of the “national firearms agreement”. Due to the licenses of weapons, such acts are occurring more and more frequently. In order to protect students and school staff, most schools have security guards. There are also usually controls at the entrances. As a way to prevent non-schoolers from entering the school, they have their own school cards, which clearly show the identifies of the students. In addition, the police have increased their presence at schools.

Students, who have witnessed such incident, are usually traumatised and can hardly cope without psychological help. Many students and parents report terrible feelings and perceptions. “I was so scared when I heard gunshots. I ran and hid under a desk until the police came. Now I’m afraid to come back to school,” says a victim who survived this cruelty. Parents were calling desperately for their children, they even got more scared when they didn’t respond. These are just a few. As a result, the police has to deal with such incidents more and more often. “It is nothing scary anymore, we are already used to it”, claims a policeman. “We are already best prepared for such acts”, adds another officer. They have certain educations and trainings for these hardships.

Due to the school shooting on April 30th, this issue is more present than ever. Many students and parents are extremely frightened that they can also be victims. This clearly shows that much more could be done preventively.

Comment correction?

Hallo, und zwar musste ich ein comment schreiben in der Schule, welchen wir morgen vorzeigen müssen und ich wollte fragen ob einer vlt nochmal kurz denn comment überfliegen kann ob alles so passt.

A Few days ago there was a discussion if mobil phones and other electronic devices should be allowed at school. The pros are that even in school children can be shown how to behave on the internet. Another good argument for using mobil phones at school is that it's possible to quickly find information and work with it. The last and for me best argument is that through digital media, topics are dealt with holistically. Different points of view are taken into account and a solution is sought with different formats. The cons are that teacher can't check what the students gonna do on the smartphones and if they really being used for lessons or assignment. Another bad thing would be that if the permanent use at school is allowed, the risk of mobile phone addiction increases enormously. The for me worse thing would be that if Students didn't own a smartphone they would have a big disadvantage. My personal view is that the mobile phones should be allowed but not all the time only when the teacher allowed it, because mobil phones can be a good addition to the school.

Also, the food for the animals is very cheap, because they buy it in mass orders. Enough animal products for the market Factory farms use vitamins, minerals, and other substances that make animals grow faster and so they can produce much more food. Big farms also have modern tools which helps to produce meat, milk, eggs and other products very quickly and in an efficient way.

Disadvantages: Very bad living conditions In many factory farms the animals are kept in small cages, where they don’t have any space to walk around and do what they naturally do. The animals are usually kept indoor, so they don’t get any fresh air or sun. The cages are not cleaned as often as it is necessary, so the living conditions for the animals are very bad.

Bad for people’s health Factory farms are bad for people’s health in two ways. One of these is the pollution what they produce, which harm the health of the people who are living next to them. The other way is through the antibiotics that they give their animals to make them immune against illnesses. These can be transmitted to people from the meat and other animal products.

Small farming businesses haven’t a chance against factory farms Many factory farms are owned by corporations, who have the possibility to buy modern tools, equipment and larger spaces for the animals. They’re able to sell their products at a lower price. Smaller farms usually don’t have the resources to buy faster and bigger machines and therefore they can’t compete with their larger rivals.

Written discussion..einmal drüber schauen bitte:)

German schools are getting dirtier and nobody does anything. In America, students take this problem in thei hands, they do some volunteer work and clean public buildings and restore parks. In this written discussion I want to discuss the question "Should german students does some volunteer work at their schools and public buildings".

The first argument for this ide is that students go out of their rooms. They don't watch TV the complete day or play some computer games, they does something for the community.

The next pro argument is that students learn to take responsibility. If they clean a place, they don't want zhat somebody make him dirty. They take care of him.

Now, the first contra argument is that some students does their work sloppy and the other studetns and volunteer worker can't rely on them.

The next contra argument is that students don't want to do this because they earn no money so it is in their point of view waste of time.

The written discussion show that volunteer work on schools is okay. Students do something and leran import things. My conclusion is: We need it in Germany.
