Wie sagt man, wenn jemand zum Beispiel „danke/ thank you/ cheers“ sagt „das ist selbstverständlich“ in englisch
aber nicht you’re welcome

Die Antwort auf Thank you ist im Englischen You're welcome. (Bitte, gern geschehen! / Keine Ursache).
Selbst wenn ein Brite bei LEO dazu folgendes geschrieben hat:
Normally, in BE we don't say anything in answer to "Thank you", although you could say "you're welcome" if you felt especially grateful.
Andere - auch coll. kurze - mögliche Antworten sind (auch in Abhängigkeit von der Situation, vom Kontext) z.B.
- Not at all.
- Don't mention it. (sehr formell)
- My pleasure (oder: it's my pleasure)
- Sure! (US) Done!
- Anytime! !
- No problem!
- It was nothing!
- Think nothing of it!
In einem anderen Zusammenhang heißt es aber auch Du bist/Sie sind willkommen, z.B. You're welcome to our hotel. (in unserem Hotel).

"You are welcome" ist eine vollkommen richtige Antwort.
"My pleasure" / "It's a pleasure" - "Gern geschehen".
"No worries" - "Kein Problem" / "Mach dir keine Gedanken."
No big deal.
