Dear Emily,
How are you? I’m very sorry that I haven’t written for so long but I had so much to do. You asked me in the last Email what profession I had at the moment. Well I’m still a clown doctor and work at the general Hospital of Los Angeles. I wear funny clothes and also have a red rubber nose. My job has so many advantages: First of all I can do what I ever want to do- make people laugh. Fortunately I have always been a cheerful person so for me it is one of the best feelings in the world when somebody laughs because of my joke. Second, you can help sick and frightened children in hospital. Some of them have to stay in the hospital for weeks. They get injections or some nasty medicine and we can alleviate their pain with our job. However working as a clown doctor has also many disadvantages. Our job isn’t easy all the time. We should not show our feelings for example. It would be useless when the children notice that we are frightened because of their illness. So we have to be happy all the time and give them the feeling of a happy world. There is another disadvantag:. We work for a charity organization so we don’t have a regular income. This organization is called Lolas Empire and they get their money from donations they collect every year. Maybe you are wondering why I do this Job although I see there so much desperation. Despite the disadvantages I can’t imagine doing another job. Every day when I see a laughing child I know why I love this job so much.
So that’s my story. What’s about you? What do you do? I don’t know if you still live in America, but if you do, it would be nice if we could meet.
