Wie sage ich das auf Englisch?

Wie sage ich einem englischsprachigen Freund, dass ich im Krankenhaus bin und die allerhand Untersuchungen mit mir machen und ich mich deswegen nicht sofort melden konnte? "Im in hospital and they're doing...." weiter komme ich irgendwie nicht.

Such dir was aus:

Im at the hospital and the docs are still trying to find a diagnosis
they are looking for treatmens
they are still examining/investigating (on) the matter
irgendwas sollte dabei sein :)
