Also Finger weg vom Spiel. Der kann dir auf deinen PC zugreifen. Ganz interessant, wenn jemand englisch kann:
Inexperienced developers. The team behind VRChat is terrible when it comes to programming something, properly that is. Current code base is a fucking nightmare, and the best I can describe it as would be "an asset flip", except for they're flipping code.
There is no security implemented within the client, and it should raise a few flags for you when one thing they've patched rather quickly was modTags, but peer message parser exception exploit was abused by literally everyone for half a year. Priorities, huh. No watchdog process, no integrated self-diag tools, nothing. They'd rather present themselves in a better light than actually fix those issues, and that's one of the contributing factors.
And while most of the limited access stuff is being patched or removed in some way, you still can do fuck-all, and serious security issues are not being addressed for incredibly long periods of time.
So, in general, VRC devs don't bother listening to exploit/bug reports, unless those are abused to hell and back. It is the team, management and prioritisation issue, but they don't really care.
