My region is in Saxony- Anhalt between Halle and Magdeburg. It covers an area of 113,45 sq km and has 35897 inhabitans. My region is known for his history. In 1323 Till Eulenspiegel lived in the castle by Bernburg. But Bernburg has a black history too. At the Nazitime there were disabled persons burned in a hospital. Now you can find at that place a memorial for the sacrifices. The climate is a temperate clima and the landscape consists of a flat area. My region has one custom: It makes every summer a plum tart party. Persons from Bernburg have no special dialect, they speak normal german. Our local council consits of the CDU with 13 seats, the Linke with 9 seats, the SPD with 6 seats and the FDP with 6 seats too. Famous buildings in Bernburg are the castle, the Carl- Maria von Weber theater and the Kesslerturm. All in all Bernburg is small but wonderful in nature and because of that i like my region.
