and wait till they sleep and their parents return. But of course that's not everything I do. In my holidays I went to this family for one week every day from 14 pm to 19 pm and played with the kids. We went out and build sandcastles at a playground or played soccer. Last week their parents told me they revealed (name) that I’m going to look after him one day before my “work-night”. The whole day he wanted to know when I finally arrive. When his parents told him one hour before my arrival that he had to wait two episodes of his favorite TV show he was so sad, because it seemed to be a very long time.
In the autumn holidays 2012 I made a work experience in a kindergarten. I liked it really much! In this kindergarten 28 kids were supervised from 8 am to 3pm. All of the kids had a form of communication disorder and were trained by logopedics. We played a lot of speech games to enhance their language acquisition. Most of time, it was just a normal kindergarten, though. So we ate together, did some jigsaws, played with cars or outside at the kindergarten playground. This work experience was really impressing, especially when I saw how the kids learn to speak correctly step by step and how they enjoyed playing and communicating with each other. In summer 2012 I joined a holiday camp as a group leader. Together with my another girl I looked after our group consisting of 9 kids (10-13 years old) for one week. The holiday camp took place on the island Ameland, so we went swimming and played at the beach. In this camp the contact with the kids was really intensive, because we spend a whole week together
