Der Laut /ʃ/ entspricht dem Konsonanten sh im Englischen (wie in sheep) bzw. sch im Deutschen (wie in Schaf). Der lange Vokal /u:/ (langes U) wird wie englisch who oder deutsch Kuh ausgesprochen. Setzt man beide Laute zusammen, ergibt sich das Wort shoe (genauso wie Schuh). /ʃu:/ kann aber auch shoo (husch!, scheuchen) sein.

can be pronounced with your mouth in a fixed position. Once your lips are in the correct position, you can say the word without moving your mouth or lips.
