Du kannst nicht ohne entsprechendem Beruf in die USA auswandern. Die haben strenge Einwanderungsbestimmungen.
Zudem sind die Strukturen in den USA ganz anders. Du hast dort nicht nur 1-2 Polizeibehörden sondern sehr viele.
Die klassische "Police" ist meistens nur innerhalb einer Stadt zuständig, dann gibt es die Sheriff Departments, die für ein County zuständig sind und die State Trooper für den Bundesstaat. Daneben gibt es noch dutzende bundesweite Polizeibehörden wie das FBI, DEA, ATF, die Post-Polizei (ja wirklich, USPIS) etc.
Und meine Aufzählung ist bei weitem nicht vollständig und kann je Bundesstaat auch noch stark variieren. Wenn du also wirklich Polizist in den USA werden willst (warum auch immer man das will), dann solltest du dich exakt informieren und einen Plan machen. Das kann man von einem 16 Jährigen erwarten. Das du perfekte Englisch-Kenntnisse haben musst versteht sich von selbst. In Florida wäre Spanisch natürlich auch von Vorteil.
Applicants must meet all the below requirements in order to receive employment consideration.
- Age: Applicants must be at least 19 years of age.
- Citizenship: Applicants must be U.S. citizens per Florida Statute 943.13.
- Education: High school diploma or its equivalent. Foreign degrees or diplomas require transcript evaluations by a NACES approved transcript evaluation service, which determines reciprocity to education in the United States. Translations are not accepted in lieu of evaluations.
- Driver's License: Applicants must submit a copy of a valid driver's license from any state provided that prior to appointment a valid State of Florida Class E Driver's License is submitted to the Miami Police Department's Recruitment and Selection Unit. Please note that driving records and validity may be checked and may be grounds for disqualification at any time subsequent to application.
- Applicants must obtain a passing score on the FDLE Basic Abilities Test (BAT) in the area of Law Enforcement. Proof of a passing score is not required at the time of application. - NOTE: As of July 1, 2022, section 943.17(1)(g) states that any candidate wishing to enter a law enforcement academy that either (i) is a veteran as classified in section 1.01(14), F.S., or (ii) holds an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university is not required to take the Law Enforcement Basic Abilities Test. Please note that veteran is defined as being honorably discharged from military service. No other discharge classifications qualify. Please note that this does not apply to candidates wishing to enter a corrections academy.
- Visual Acuity: 20/30 vision in each eye with correction and must be binocular and monocular of 20/100 vision in each eye without correction (glasses or contacts). Depth and color perception must be within normal limits.
- Convictions: Per Florida Statute 943.13, applicants must not have been convicted of any felony nor misdemeanor involving perjury or a false statement, or have received a dishonorable discharge from any of the Armed Forces of the United States. Criminal history may disqualify applicants.
NOTE: Before becoming a permanent Police Officer, the employee must successfully complete the basic recruit program of the Police Academy, the Florida State Officer Certification Exam (SOCE), and the Field Training Officer Program.
Da du diese Voraussetzungen nicht erfüllst, wird das leider nichts. Plan B bereit haben.
Dann versuch schon mal in das Losverfahren für eine "Green Card" zu kommen. Ohne einen Beruf, der auch in den USA gesucht ist, bekommst du gar keine Arbeitserlaubnis.
Da denen die Polizisten regelmäßig und schnell wegsterben werden die immer gesucht.
