Wie kam Coca Cola auf seinen Jingle?

Huhu!

Jeder kennt doch diese typischen fünf Töne, die am Ende jeder Cola Werbung zu hören sind (ein Jingle). Doch woher kommt dieser? Wie ist Coca Cola auf diese leicht einprägsame Melodie gekommen?

Hallo,

dieses Jingle ist eine vereinfachte Version einer Melodie aus dem animierten Kurzwerbefilm "Happiness Factory". Die Musik aus diesem Film wiederum baut auf dem Werbesong "I'd like to buy the world a Coke" aus dem Jahr 1971 auf. Im Abspann des Filmes steht unter Musik nur das Pseudonym "Human".

Für dich ist die interessanteste Passage wohl: » “In 2007, as we were developing the ‘Open Happiness’ campaign, we wanted an audio branding device similar to the ones used by McDonald’s and Intel,” explains Nick Felder, Coke’s global director of film and music production. “We went through our existing library of music assets, and it quickly became obvious that the hook we were looking for could be found in the spine of the melody of the ‘Happiness Factory’ score, which was running in every market.” The team distilled the 15-note melody from the film to a five-note mneumonic, then tested it with different instruments and in different keys and tempos.«
