What difficulties face a nation when there is a major change in its political structure; for example, after a colonial power withdraws his support?

Colonial powers did never support a country, but exploited it. So, if they leave a nation, this should be an advantage. But in nearla all cases it is not. The reason: the old structures of society have been destroyed and new structures are difficult to install. Criminal and half-criminal profit makers are struggling to the top of politics and to the leadership and foreign nations are supporting them. If the inhabitants try to change things, the result often is war.
Habt ihr Verbesserungsvorschläge?

Was genau ist das Verständnis-Problem: Verstehst du die Frage auf Englisch nicht, oder verstehst du nicht, worauf sie inhaltlich abzielt?
Da ich nur für Englisch Experte bin und nicht für Politik, beschränke ich mich auf das Sprachliche:
Mit welchen Schwierigkeiten ist ein Staat/Volk/Land konfrontiert, wenn ein wesentlicher Wandel in seiner politischen Struktur eintritt, z.B. wenn eine Kolonialmacht ihre Unterstützung (its support) einstellt?
Jetzt kannst Du damit für Nigeria recherchieren. Interessant, vor allem die "Unterstützung" durch die Kolonialmacht :)
Welchen Schwierigkeiten hat sich eine Nation zu stellen, wenn es dort zu einem großen politischen Umbruch kommt?
Du wirst als angehender Abiturient ja wohl kaum darauf hoffen, dass andere diese einfache Aufgabe für dich erledigen!?
