Was bedeutet Yikes?

So I watch a lot of English youtubers and a word they use a lot is "Yikes" so I asked myself what that means, I don't mean the exact meaning, like the google transaltion form of it, but rather what do you mean when you say, for example,

"thats a big yikes for me" oder

"and i removed every group of people, couse Yikes!"

Kann mir da irgendwer weiterhelfen

"Thanks in advance" <and please answer in german ive you can, if not than just rewrite it, thanks again>

This is a site pretty much exclusively used by germans, so asking a question in english doesnt make a lot of sense here. But to answer your question anyway, yikes is a reaction which is mainly used in text form on the internet to comment on anything that induces a feeling of disgust in the commentator. Example:

A:"Yo i just bought some new sneakers."

B:" Cool, what colour did you get?"

A:" Red."

B:" Yikes."
