A) Bruttofotosynthese ist die Menge an organischer Substanz (=Biomasse), die von der Fotosynthese aus anorganischen (Sonnenlicht) Stoffen gebildet wird.
B) Nettofotosynthese ist der Anteil der Bruttofotosynthese nach Abzug der verbrauchten Kohlenhydrate (Glucose) durch Zellatmung.
