Good afternoon Ladys and gentleman’s.
Today, I would like talk to you about something that is near and dear to my heart: New Brunswick. I can even remember when I was a little child my bilingual grandmother always tell me French stories in french. I didn't understand them at the beginn, but I loved listening to this stories. I always asking for new stories and unknown words. And story after story I realize that I didn't need to ask for unknown words. This was 20 Years ago, and now I am Bilingual. The reason why I’m here isn't to tell you stories from my childhood . No, I’m talking to you today to Protect New Brunswick and his culture. Barry Renouf a member of the CAFB, Canadians Against forced bilingualism want stop forced bilingualism and he said „The only way to stop forced bilingualism is either civil war or for Quebec to separate!“ These are not solutions. We can't allow that the CAFB destroy our culture. And is it right to say forced bilingualism? I mean, do you ever hear a chines saying forced difficult language, because he think that the official language of china is to difficult? And its the same with New Brunswick, french and englisch are the official languages. There also part of the culture. You can’t change the language because you don't want to learn them. I think the best solution isn't to remove a language or to separate, but rather a new school system who based on bilingualism. And free teaching for older people who don't have the chance to learn it at school. To speak two languages isn't just an advantage for working, it can also improve the way we communicate each other and allowed us see the world of an different point of view. Take the chance to be in one of the few bilingual community. We shouldn't separe us. We should approach each other. Let us be a model. And let us show the World that different languages doesn’t need borders.
