All has happened in a bus on 05 December, 1955.An African-American old women, Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat for a younger white man. She got arrested.
What was the bus boycott? A big group of human who refuse, take part in something to show their disapproval is called a boycott. And the Bus Boycott was a non-violent protest from the African Americans, who didn't take the bus for 381 days. The bus system lost a lot of money, because so many African Americans rode the bus. The B.B. was ledged by Martin Luther King junior.
When did it begin? It began December 05, 1955 and ended December 20, 1956
How did it begin? Rosa Parks, an African American Women, was asked to get up her bus seat for a white man, who was younger and could have take the place next to her. She didn't want to get up and tryed to protest against that, but she was stopped by police and gained arrested. What did the boycott tryed to reach? They wanted to let the law about racial segregations in bus end.
On December 13, 1956 they finally won. The U.S Supreme judgement lifted the law about the racial segregation in bus. Also the boycott was perceived as a big victory in the history of the racism.
(Hier ist ein Bild zu sehen, auf dem ein Polizist Fingerabdrücke von Rosa P. nimmt.) Rosa Parks, while a policeman took her fingerprints. She was treated like a hard criminal, but she's called a hero now.
