St. Paul's Cathedral is an Anglican church in Central London, England. It was started in 604. The man who built it was called Mellitas, Bishop of the East Saxons. In 962 and 1087 the cathedral burnt down and was built Hier fehlt eine Präposition. again. Before today's version of the cathedral Komma there were four others but they also burnt down. Today's cathedral is made of limestone and it was built after the Great Fire Of London in 1666. Its architect was Sir Christopher Wren, who designed 53 churches, most after the Great Fire. It (bezieht sich auf Great Fire) has 3 floors (Stockwerke?): The Wisppering Hall and 2 outside ? (you can see it on the picture). St. Pauls Cathedrale is 111 metres high and it is as big as a skyscraper. The Cathedral is very important for many people because a lot of famous people got married there, for example Lady Diana and Prince Charles. (Dort haben nicht viele berühmte geheiratet, sondern sie ist die bzw. gilt als die Hochzeitskirche der Royals.)

But there are a lot of famous people buried in the Cathedral, too. This is the reason why so many people want to visit the chrurch - about 200,000 visitors each year.
