Hi Leute! Meine Frage hier hab ich zuvor auf reddit gepostet, hoffe ihr könnt Englisch :)
I´ve built a completely new PC ~1 month ago. Everything seems to be working fine BUT I don´t think games run like they should.
In CS:GO, I usually get 130~250 FPS, average 150 on ANY resolution, which is actually really bad for my specs. (Should easily have 300+ FPS) Extra graphical effects decrease FPS by ~10 or so.
Now, some things I already tried with no effect at all:
Reinstall CS:GO Use default config Launch in Compability mode (win7, winXp) Different launch options Some config tweaks Reinstall Windows RMA my GTX970 and get a R9 390 Enable Windows High Performance mode Increase the GPU power target Update Mainboard-Bios I also played with some UEFI power saving tweaks (Scared that I might break something...) I don´t actually know where to adress this problem at so I´m quite lost...
While playing, my GPU jumps a lot between 30%-70% usage@~850MHz/1050MHz and my CPU at ~30% usage. Temps are normal. (I´ll upload a screenshot of MSI Afterburner monitoring soon...)
On the small Server ad screen after loading before joining a team, the GPU clock jumps to constant 1050MHz.
I don´t think my system is malfunctioning because it performs normally under max. load (both CPU and GPU) on 3DMark FireStrike (8700 points; ~12100 graphics score)
I think the system runs bad on older games in general because the AMD CPU has bad single-core-performance from what I´ve heard :|
OS: Windows 10 64-bit Professional
CPU: AMD FX Series FX-8350 8x 4.00GHz
GPU: 8192MB XFX Radeon R9 390 Double Dissipation Black Edition
Mainboard: ASRock 990FX Extreme3 AMD 990FX So.AM3+ Dual Channel DDR3
RAM: 8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR3-1600 DIMM CL9
PSU: 750 Watt Inter-Tech Combat Power CP-750W plus Non-Modular
HDD: 1000GB Seagate Desktop HDD ST1000DM003 64MB 3.5" (8.9cm) SATA 6Gb/s
SSD: 120GB SanDisk Ultra II 2.5" (6.4cm) SATA 6Gb/s MLC (SDSSDHII-120G-G25)
DVD: Samsung SH-118CB DVD-ROM SATA
Chassis Cooling: 120mm x4
Monitor: Asus VG248QE 144hz
I´m using the latest AMD GPU Beta Driver, all the other drivers are kept up-to-date by DriverBooster 3
Steam and CS:GO are installed on the SSD along with the OS
Playing on a 144hz screen when the FPS drop below that 144 fps mark is kinda bad...
That´s all I can say right now.
I don´t want to OC my system yet.
I´m grateful for all help I can get :)
