The cartoon at hand by Bennett deals with (---) immigration in the USA. In the center (= AE; BE = centre)
Hier fehlt ein Wort. are two men who are standing in a door which beared the inscription ''USA''. The man on the left side with his red and white pants, his blue jacket and his (---) blue, white, red hat is dressed in the colours of the USA. He has a bright smile and wide open arms. His posture suggest to enter the room.

In oppostion to that the other man has an irriteated look, which he is watching the cleaning supplies (---) are lying on the floor.. He is wearing dark clothes and holding a suitcase under his right arm. On the wall there is hanging a picture (Word Order) with the lable ''guest worker program''. The caption below says : ''Mi casa, su casa.'' .

The topic of the cartoon refers to (---) immigartion in Amercia. Immigartion is a major problem facing the US today. Hundert of thousands of immigrants are coming to this country every year. Some are escaping from religios and political problems while others come to seek out the ''American Dream''. The cartoonist wants to critizes that the fact that America receive immigrants and tries to help to integrate them is more an illusion then reality. The immigrants are guests who has to work and because of the cleaning supplies it enhances the impression that they execute lower jobs. The right man is representing the USA, while the room sybolizes the life of the immigrants. Amerika seems to be hospitable but in fact they are seperated from the immigrats which leads to a disimulation where people live in the same country but dont live together. In addtion (---) Komma the open arms of the American man and the caption below are supporting this ironie.

The cartoonist has succeeded in including many sybolic aspects in this cartoon which I totaly agree with. And also he achieves to get the message across.

Kann mir jemand dieses summary von "A message from the Pig-man" korrigieren?

habe eine summary zum text a message from the pig-man von john wain geschrieben, wäre nett wenn ihr eure meinung dazu äußern würdet und ggf fehler verbessern könntet oder zumindest sagen, wo sie sind :)

The story „A Message from the Pig-man“, written by John Wain, is about a 6-year old boy named Eric, which has many questions he would like to ask but is afraid to do so.

Eric is the son of newly divorced parents. He has no siblings and his mum has a new boyfriend named Donald. He has difficulty with the new circumstances and does not understand why his father had to leave just because Donald moved in. He also does‘nt mind sharing his room in order for his dad to have the spare room. He is afraid of the pig-man and avoids him. He imagines the pig-man as a man who looks like a pig. One day, his mother asks him to catch the pig-man to bring him the scarps. First he was afraid, but when he sees the pig-man he realizes that the pig-man is a normal person and finally understands that the people call him pig-man, because he has some pigs that he looks after. Eric is no longer afraid of asking questions. When he comes home, he asks his mother why his father can‘t stay with them but his mother does‘nt answer him. Now he thinks that grown-ups are very silly and he hates them all.
