Auslandsaufenthalt - Brief an Gastfamilie
Dear host family,
althougt I do not no anything about you, I would like to tell you something about me and my life. My name is Sabrina and I am 14 years old, but I will turn 15 in two month. I live in a village with approximate 12.000 inhabitants. At my grammar school I visit the 9th Grade ans my favourite subjects are English, German and Art. I live with my father Michael, my two younger sisters Stefanie and Katharina and our dog Gizmo. All in all our relationship is very good and we make family trips often. My mother died when I was nine years old. In my freetime I dance with my two best friends and I am in the youth group of the firefighters, were I learn to become a real firefighter. I do not want to do it as my job, but as a voluntary activity. Also I an altar server in our roman catholic church , so my family and I go to church often. With my altar server group I have weekly lessons and I am up to get to know other religions. Next to this hobbys I like reading, drawing, swimming, inline skating and much more. I am candidly to try something new and I look forward to joint trips. Every weekend I do the paper round to improve my pocket money and sometimes I go babysit in our circle of acquaintances. My family and friends say, that I am helpful, conscientiously, funny, trustingly and most time friendly. Besides I am enterprising, but also I like just to be at home. I really like music and I listen to it every day. To be an exchange student in an unknown country is a great experience. I would like to speak English like my on language and I really look forward to this ten month in which I will be in your country. Now I would like to thank you , that you spend the time to read my letter and that you will receive me as a family member.
Many regards and many thanks, Sabrina
