Kann mir jemand das Gedicht in ein verständlicheres Englisch umschreiben, sodass man das sofort verstehen könnte(moderne Englisch)?
Sonnet 116 Let me not to the marriage of true minds Admit impediments. Love is not love Which alters when it alteration finds, Or bends with the remover to remove. O no, it is an ever-fixèd mark That looks on tempests and is never shaken; It is the star to every wand'ring bark, Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken. Love's not time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks Within his bending sickle's compass come: Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks, But bears it out even to the edge of doom. If this be error and upon me proved, I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

Ich brauche ja in dem Sinne keinen Übersetzer...sondern nur der mir die alte eng. Sprache ins jetzige moderne und normal gebräuchliche Englisch übersetzt...also was das bedeutet

es gibts icher eine Übersetzung, aber das Gedicht verliert dann etwas. Manchmal ist die "alte" Sprache eben doch romantischer.
When two people bond (marry) intellectually (platonically), they should not allow impediments (problems) to come between them. Love is not love if impediments separate them. No, it is as fixed (constant) as a star, that guides a ship in a storm. You know the height of the star, but not how he looks like or of what he is made of. Time can not alter true love, but can (with his sickle) cut down the youth. Love remains constant until doom's day. If my results are proven wrong, I never wrote a word of poetry and I never loved.
--> Hoffe das ist so gut zu verstehen!
