Could ist weitaus höflicher! (can=kannst, could=könntest. Auch im Deutschen wäre das einfach höflicher)

Hi,

"could" ist die modale Form des Verbes "can" und drückt eine Möglichkeit aus. Das schließt auch ein, dass die Frage mittels "could" höflicher (weil indirekter) ist als "can". Schau auch mal hier:
